    Still unbalanced.

    How in the world are shotguns more powerful than rocket launchers. Its so frustrating being forced to play multiplayer using only shotguns. Does Trion even check the multiplayer stats to see how the game is being played. EVERYONE goes in using sawed off shotguns because they are so overpowered. Two rounds of a high explosive rocket launcher should do more damage than two shotgun rounds, but it never does. This needs to be fixed. Either nerf the shotguns or up the damage of launchers. Infectors take well over two clips to get a kill, yet again shotguns one trigger pull equals death. Why make the game so unbalanced that its useless to use any other weapon? They need to find a better way to balance the games as it stands right now, this is one of the worst multiplayer games ever. Waste of $60.00

    While I agree PvP is unbalanced, Damage isn't everything in regards to balance. Sawn off shotguns should do high damage, there long *** reload time balances this to an extent. Rocket launchers should do more damage in my opinion (but I'm guessing there is a game play vs. realism argument there) They certainly aren't useless in PvP there's a few people on PC-EU running around with those bonfire launchers and VOT swarm launchers causing havoc. But there use is very situational.

    I agree with most of the OP, but I cant call sawed offs over powered. Its not a guranteed OHK unless your directly in a persons grill; even then if you dont have the right perks its still not guranteed. If you miss, unless your a hell of a mover and shaker you will be dead before you reload. Shotguns used to do tons more damage before the initial nerf. You didnt even have to hit with 75% of the pellets to get a kill. That's why in the patch notes for 1.20 it says "buckshot stay on target". You have to aim them now especially scatterguns where as before you just pray and sprayed from the hip and laid people down effortlessly. As far as infectors taking more than a clip to kill, what are you using? A common afflicter with no mods? I guess the rumor is these are getting a nerf too AGAIN lol. Either way shotguns don't rule pvp because they are overpowered, its because the mp maps all support cqc, and what better thing to use then a shotgun or smg? Don't even say smgs cant stand up to shotguns either, ive been put down quicker then I could blink by those. And the last thing no matter how good a gun is it ultimately comes down to pkayer skill. My greatest enjoyment came earlier today as I watched some guy purchase a 1.5 mil saw, enter shadow wars and I iwned him constantly with my blue grenadier siphon saw. Good times, and sorry about the wall of text lol.

    Rocket launchers also have a quite high reload for their rocket count.
    Also many Launchers can't "store" more than 1 projectile.
    The TO is kinda right.

    Bonfires and Mass Canons are fine, Sludge... Hm... rather no than yes.
    All other rocket launchers belong into the trashcan.
    (Example: Why would I take a Breaker Canon over a Derailer?)

    I'ld love to see a projectile speed increase rather than a damage buff, that'ld increase their effective range.

    Rocket launchers do gain projectile speed bonuses as you level them up. My level 15 rockets fly much faster then when they were at level one.

    area effect VS single target

    Rocket launchers (and grenade launchers) are meant for multiple enemy targets simultaneously within an area of effect.

    While some shotguns do have the ability to damage more than one enemy, they are for the most part a single enemy weapon.


    Use your rocket launcher on a group of 10 skitterlings - they all die.
    Use a shotgun - one or two dies.

    Let me put it this way.

    1 rocket propelled grenade vs 2 sticky grenades.

    1% of players use sawed off shotguns (EU-PC), most of people use Vot grind fragger.

    shotguns = close range, missiles = long range. Mass Cannons and Swarm Cannons are quite effective in pvp, I see quite a few people use them. It is just harder since the ammo pool is so low and takes a little more skill with the detination of the mass cannon. You can take out 2 or 3 people at once at a choke point if they are grouping up, you will never do that with a shotgun.

    Got all weapons on 20, that's a basic requirement for EGO 5k, so no need to tell me

    However, they're still pretty slow.

    Ever tried hitting somebody past 20m?
    Any decent player will roll out.
    Not to mention that quads are close to outrunning missles.
