yeah i guess we should just accept that when we buy games in the future we should expect them to be half finished and put in things that had no fore thought as a given?

like buying one keycode at a time, the brain dead UI and a completely useless weapon (Distruptor) to name just a few.

we are already buying dlc and micro transactions from games that are still in beta already (NWN) why stop now?

hell, maybe we should pay them to help fix their games.

Good for you if you think this way, but when i buy something i expect the product to be in top condition with problems being small enough to be close to negligible.

This is not the case here.

i know when i by a product and it has problems i can usually return it. Not help and pay them to do so as well.

thats where your wrong, if they didnt have a deadline for the tie in with the TV show to boost sales we could of had a much more polished product.

but people like you that are happy with an unfinished product are whats ruining todays gaming entertainment standards.

we never expected games to be unfinished in years past, most were not. Then WoW came along and everything changed.

from the late 80's all the way up to 2000 when you bought a game it was complete. now days you buy a game and expect 1000's of patches/hotfixes and a product no way near complete as standard.

i know patches and upgrades are needed, but their main use shouldnt be for fixing a unfinished game. which is what they are for today.

game devs back in the day didnt have this ability, when they made a game it had to be as complete as possible because once it was out the door they couldnt do anything about it and had to be confident that it would pull through.

how can you not see that not only is this game no way near complete, half the things in it had no real thought at all. ill give you one major example,

you buy lock boxes for 8,16,24,64 keycodes. Yet the UI only lets you buy one at a time? This is a perfect example of no thought at all.


a simple fix <<< LOL that would make it more practical would be able to also buy 8 keycodes at a time as well.

so if you think everything that they have done is as good as it could be, you need to lift the expectations of yourself and of others for the general good.

while the quoted post could of hinted at sarcasm your first post could only be classed as personal opinion, unless it was a complete troll post?.

if so then whats the point?

Use of the word *Sir* from my experience is given from a defensive stance in regards to internet forums.

So if your first post was personal opinion, then your defensive.
And if your post was a troll, the use of *Sir* is unusual and down right contradictive to said internetz skillzz.

The game is a great idea, The game play just doesn't enthrall people like they had hoped. Trion was banking on a MMOTPS type shooter. It is and even the game play for the PVE is really good when your not having issues. The PvP side of it fell flat on its face not keeping people busy in between Arkfalls, Emergency's, and story line. The story line side quests based on the show are fun but way to short. The money spent developing DLC should have been spent increasing the show story line in the game even if causing a small download fee of say $5.00 with it being a mission worth the fee to download. The Charge blades, Charge Guns, and 4 man vehicle being in the bit store for optional pay to play option. Before people who read this and say pay to win model. The weapons could do the same damage as there none-charge counterpart.

The game is losing people just on the simple fact there isn't much to do you haven't already done a hundred times. Its not that horrible of a game or anything like that. Its actually a pretty fun game its like when you beat Grand Theft Auto games. Once in a while you load it up to blow **** up, and even check out the pvp. But you won't just sit for hours on end playing it because the story is done. The social on the game also hurts it. A game can be shallow and still keep people enthralled by the human interaction. They made the area chat option to cut down on griefing and trolls this could have been made simple with a block option. The voice chat should have been group only and text chat should have been global so people can build friendships and get to know other players.

I beta tested this game from start and even got into the Alpha server for this game. My over all opinion of the game is its fun but just nothing to keep you invested in it. Social interaction between players is limited and also story line is just to short with to long of waits for DLC's.

The first post was not the one I was referring to it simply mimics the usual reply you get if you post anything vaguely resembling criticism in any form. What is the point? Not much the ability to have any say so here which does not adhere to that of the masses is shot down. Not really. There are a ton of things that are almost inexcusable, as they are just poorly designed/programmed/implemented. The whole progression system doesn't even make sense.

Only thing the really got right was gunplay. Which could be a lot better, but hey...beggars can't be choosers.
