During Shadow Wars I usually use infectors to help protect a flag point. I pissed one guy off so much on the wknd he mssgd me after calling me a noob. I challenged him to play another and I would switch my infector to my ss-ranger snip rifle. Ended up killing him quicker and getting twice as many kills in the match. I like infectors not b/c I cant snipe. But b/c many peeps ***** and complain.
Ya, thats right all the cloakers are "croakers" with my immunizers!

its still not fun IMO. its too stupid and easy. and people who rely on it just have a crutch. hopefully one day trion kicks the crutch out so we can have more fun

Consoles are a different story, as using a pad gives a clear advantage to anything with which you don't have to aim very precisely. But on PC I know that I have no room for error when I'm facing a skilled AR/LMG user. If I do anything wrong, I'm dead before I've even had time to detonate anything.
Same goes for infectors if you ask me. They don't do fast enough dmg to be very viable on PC. You need a very good infector+mods to be on par with the rest, so it's not really a weapon for noobs. With an average infector you'll just end up with a lot of assistant kills, at least that's my experience, especially on the smaller PvP maps. Consoles are different in that aspect as aiming with a controller sucks. Tbh I still can't figure out why the hell people choose to play competitive shooter games on a console, but whatever

Each has its own problem. BMG really only saves you from DOT and bugs after the infector is dead, plus it forces the user to carry the lowest DPS weapon in the game vs way better options. So now the user is gimped against other true skill type players.

    Syphon is luck.

Better infector just adds to the problem.

That leaves sniper and SAW. The counter to the lowest skill gun to use is the one that requires one of the highest...if not the highest....to use? Yeah that is fair.

So is your magical answer a SAW. Or SAW/BMG? So the answer is that is the combo we are forced to run?

I honestly don't have many issues with infectors. But my solution is one of the problems.....a better infector. However I highly prefer to run tacmag and sniper or tacmag and sludge.
None of what you mentioned is what I'm talking about. It doesn't necessarily have to do with weapons. I'm talking tactics. Most people just run and gun, don't use cover, don't use tactical grenades, etc. I run with an infector and bmg. People that can figure out and use good combat tactics are the most successful. BTW...I can run with any weapon in the game and still be top 3 on the leaderboards...I've done it.

Some peeps cant afford to keep their PC upto date. Compared to a simple few hundred $$ with a console.
But I agree with ya. PC mouse and KB are far more accurate and responsive vs a controller. As welll, typing a mssge in game on 360 via "virtual" KB sucks schako...or whatever the word is. lol

Like Echo discribed it he's talking like they all grow bugs and block sights, i've only heard of two types of Immunizers, one with growths and one without, nothing else.
Immunizers do create bugs and infections on bodies. Cankers don't create bugs (but still make infections appear? haven't used one for a while, so can't say for sure).
Also, I'm pretty sure Indra Echo is a woman.

The problem with infectors on PC servers are not the damage the projectiles do, they problem is they spawn bugs that sprint faster than you and three hits of them can kill you, their auto-lock-on-target and homing projectiles are a problem, their sight blocking growths are a problem, the delayed damage critical hit of Cankers are a problem,...

Even if the projectiles didn't do any damage at all, then the Infector is still the most noobish and annyoing weapon to be up against in PVP!

the most used gun and OP combo in pvp is shotguns/cloak not infectors (xbox 360) alot of people are using cloak, 2 shotguns with speed boost on reload, aswell as timeout, pumped up and the relevant cloak perks, oh and escape artist so they stay cloaked all match and run as fast as blur all match. Now how do you kill someone you cant see and who is running at 100mph the answer is an INFECTOR try using a sniper to kill these people lol also people use this same setup with big boomers or ground pounders which do 1 shot kill you with no skill.

Infectors dont need to be changed people are just saying this to divert from the real issue in pvp which is the shotgun/shotgun cloak and blur combo which dominates the pvp and infectors are a good counter for this setup.

my solution to both these problems is make flashgrenades and electric nano disable homing effect on infectors and let sniper users be able to see cloaked players when there aming down there sights and then you can mark the players like BF3, also the speed boost bonus needs fixing because it makes blur pointless.

1 shot with a big boomer? lol not possible even with a terible shield if you get stuck. people with good shileds and builds take 5+ shots to take down and they have to be in close radius to the grenade. and with a mag of 2 and the most you can get is 5 i wouldn't say its OP. the time it takes to fire off 5 of them and manuall detonate and have them close to a moving target is more then most guns take to kill. also there is a perk called blast shield which almost halves the radius. on the other hand a SO shotgun will OHK you from cloak and the grind fragger from upclose can offload 3-4 shots easily killing you before you even know they are there.

there are a few players i've seen who rely on it so much they'll probably be like 1-10 w/o cloak
