I really enjoyed it a lot. I can tell it's going to be a series I will come to enjoy.

Loved it, I only had two silly problems with it...

    A. Watch the main character when he's driving. He is constantly turning the wheel of his car... like a little baby playing with a toy steering wheel. The car would be swerving like CRAZY in reality.

    B. When that giant ball of wreckage came crashing down there was no violent crash. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if that came flying down from the atmosphere there would be a devastating BOOM right?

I am a little worried about the fully CGI creatures. Looked a little cheap, but hell, I can get over that easily.

Didn't love it, but I see a ton of potential. I wasn't a fan of the first few episodes of my favorite shows (Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Spartacus), but they all got really good half-way through. I can certainly see this show evolving into something worthy of the syfy greats like Farscape and Battlestar. And I can already tell the two main actors have the talent needed to carry the show.

You do realize this is a low budget scifi show ....on the syfy chanel, this isnt block buster AAA movie time lol.

That said I love the Spider bears, i hope we get to see some more nasty terraformed creatures out our way.

Don't know how much off roading you've done but they are traveling over some crazy terrain I'd imagine his motions are accurate, especially if his runner was as crappy as he said it was. ;-)

Well any explosion would actually be when the object hits the atmosphere, but the angle it took is more like skipping a stone across the surface of a pond, if you watch the object is in a decaying orbit and then slowly degrads as it circles the earth. Here is footage from that meteor that came in over Russia note the brightest point you can just make out a wave from the back end of that spot. Which is where the meteor actually impacted the atmosphere creating a shock wave. Still it's a TV show. :-)

CGI is cheap compared to traditional effects, and even the cheap stuff has come a long way. If they keep the quality as good as they have so far, I'm down with that. It means more Defiance in the long run as it lowers overall production costs. I imagine we will see some of this disappear over time though much like BSG. Walking Dead also makes great use of CGI and CGI/makeup effect combos so it's an evolving medium.

To me the music in the show from the game was killer, the selection for the 'duet' was great cause it was a song cause of all the foreshadowing elements you could pick over. LOVED the spirit riders! We so need dirt bikes in the game and if I can get an outfit with a crazy top hat even better!

Have to say this is shaping up to be a serious looking show from a production stand point, and getting to be a part of that through the game just takes this to a whole new level of entertainment1

I can't honestly confirm what gargantuan space debris sound like when they plummet to Earth. But if you go back a couple years you can turn a wheel a good sixty degrees without any effect on some vehicles.

What in the world would make you think I expected this to be anything near a blockbuster AAA movie? What made you assume that extreme, lol? Everything actually looked WAY better than what I expected... save the fully CGI animals.

It's not even really that, it's just the motion and pattern he has going on. It SO reminds me of a little kid playing playing with a fake steering wheel.

And of course that's UBER nit-picking, it just struck me as pretty funny.
