Get an ipod/laptop/walkman(lol). It can only harm your gameplay if you run more than what is necessary on a console.

Put your music in MP3 format on a USB stick then connect it to your 360 then press the guide button then go to the media tab and there you'll see "Select Music" at the bottom.
you can also stream it from your PC to your xbox
