I'm confused, what is wasted? You can easily respec your character at any time and as your EGO continues to increase you gain additional EGO points. Eventually you can have everything maxed or close to it. By having multiple characters you limit that character more than if you continued to play a single character. Given the multiple loadouts you can easily accommodate different playing styles on the same character. Worse yet, as the quality of items found is based on your EGO rating, you are actually hurting yourself by spreading your EGO rating betweeen multiple characters.

You did see the pursuits that require 5,000 EGO, ~90 maxed perks, and having all 4 EGO powers maxed, right? If you use multiple characters these will be nearly impossible to attain.

I love the system. It solves the problem of looking for specific classes for instances.

I like that it's classless because in other MMOs, sometimes you want that really cool looking starter armor but the specialization is not your type at all.

So now you can have that cool looking starter armor that everyone else has? I just want to see some individuality. ( I know I need to wait until the game comes out before making any judgments )

personally i didnt really like the archetype they presented while it does allow for customization it doesnt make the game any challenging when it comes to playing with other people. thats where all the challenge is.

I like the fact that with one toon i would be able to try all the classes and setups the game has to offer. Though undoubtedly I'm a linear player(choosing one class and sticking to it), my thought go to KOA: Reckoning and the freedom the game gave to customizing your class, its nice to see such logic applied in such a much larger scenario. I also think of the borderlands two in game goal system and how multiple characters were needed to do them all, this game eliminates that need to have multiple toons to achieve the in game challenges. As a father of three little ones i don't want to be forced to or have the time to raise multiple toons to finish my in game objectives.

Yea, I see where your coming from but from what it looks like in the beta it was like 1 power and like 10-12 perks equipped at maximum? It does seem like the loadout system will prevent me from making multiple characters for awhile. However, I might make a mule or two
