The game looks nothing like the Tv show.

When I'm watching the Tv show, I notice diversity between races and the huge arch over the city of defiance where the famous raider radio station is broadcast from, and the multiple races such as indogenes and casithians walking around a city that is being re-built from the ground up and seeing the weather constantly changing.

But when I play the video game, I feel alone even though I'm playing with friends. I feel like the weather never changes the players are anti-social even though they don't mean too be but that's because theres no main social hub in the game.

If trion made a few little adjustments such as finally adding the new races and customization options & including a main city social hub I feel like these adjustments would change the games diversity and sales figures would probably rise considerably.

(1) I think that if they added a City through one of the DLC updates once all the main races have been introduced, they should include a Indogene community house which would have things inside native to the indogene homeland, and the same for the castithan race include a house that would have things inside native too their homeland such as a bathing room etc and do the same for the other races, I personally think that would add diversity too the game and a little extra RPG feeling to the game.

(2) also include things like trading stands inside the city where players can put them weapons items etc and set a price so that other players can interact with the stand and buy the players guns from the stand and then the player who originally put the gun in can collect their money when the item has been sold.

(3) Add a plastic surgery clinic lol.

(4) Add a car customization shop.

(5) Add a Weapon customization shop.

(6) Add lots more outfits that tie in with the tv show, also include ones that aren't so military looking.

(7) Include an option to put all guns away and not hold guns at all if you choose too.

(8) Community clan houses.

(9) Maybe a special arkfall where a ship appears like in the tv show and you can go in and fight enmeys in the ship and find special loot.

Their just some of my ideas not sure if they will ever actually get introduced :?

But if thing's continue the way they are, I feel as if the game's population will dry up and die like a plant that hasn't been watered.

Hello, I was wondering if you could answer a few of my questions?. When is the DLC being released or can't you say yet?.
Can the dev's take more of a interest in making the game more like the show and maybe adding a city or things that relate to the show?. Because honestly the tie in content is really slow and behind the Volge have only just came into the game even though they were around right at the beginning of the tv show?. I'm not trying to grief or whatever it's called I & a lot of others are looking for answers which we just arn't getting and the silly stuff like guns always seems to get addressed?. But all the main stuff like adding content and making defiance feel more like an MMO just never gets addressed well that's how me and my friends feel?, I'v made numerous posts concerning suggestions and how the game looks nothing like the show and I'v recently received a very positive response from the community on many of my posts and a lot of the community would like to see the things that I have posted in this post below here included into the game.

If the City has been introduced just think of how many events we could of and can take part in.

This thread should be read by the developers..if there was a main social job that would make the game a lot more fun and I bet more people would play.

You do also realize the show is in St. Louis and the game is in San Francisco? From that standpoint, it will look a little different. Obviously, a little rain would be nice from time to time.

Either way the game is supposed to mimic the tv show aka tie in content, and on the front of the case a picture of the city defiance (St Louis), Everything points towards the logic of having a city and for some unknown reason the developers decided it was a smart move to introduce lots of little outposts instead of a main social hub and having lots of open empty spaces? the landscape looks un-finished.

If they introduced all the things that I said and I'm sure that other people have pointed it out too, it would introduce a new feeling to the game that hasn't been experienced before in defiance, and I understand that the terrain has been terraformed, and that will add the un-finished look but still the players need a Social Hub that can add that extra RPG Feeling to the game.

Even if the city isn't classed as the city of defiance they could introduce a E-Rep guarded city and attempt to tie it in with the tv show because currently the E-rep want in on defiance so why not make another city where the E-rep have already gained access to and make it so the city has E-rep guards, large mines but include all the things the social hub needs.

You have many good points, besides the fact that that's not ktam.

The game needs social aspects to make it a great MMO. A better chat window is just one thing on the way to making it better. A city would be a second step, and from there we need trading hubs, social jobs provided by crafting for reliable access to mods weapons and shields we actually want. We need more then just a four man dps grind-fest for co-op, like a 10 to 15 man (hate to use the word raid, event maybe) mission that requires not only team work but some role oriented playing.

Not to say we need the traditional trinity, but look at DCU and the way they made it into four roles and changed the nature of 'trolling. We need a solid reason to work together as a team, and solid rewards for team play.

Love the fact that I'll be a Casti soon enough but you should tell us you're planning to open up new races like the Sensoth as well.

I haven't even seen a period yet and you have already made two massive mistakes. I believe you mean Arch (as in "The St. Louis Arch" aka the Gateway to the West) not ark. Second of all Alak Tarr's radio station is known as "Raider Radio". It is not KTAM which is the radio station in the game in San Francisco. The rest of your post may be valid but it is hard to take seriously after those mistakes.

1: only 2 playable races in game now though the NPCs run the spectrum.
2: Excuse me?!!!! No, KTAM broadcasts from Mt. Tam. (Skatch, you want us to "fix" this one, just give a shout.
3: Limitations of design for console. Yes, we PC players can render hell out of the heavens. Antiquated corp. box slaves can render greyscale now, I believe, so there is hope for the future. Devs felt rendering NPCs and other players was more important.
4: yeah not the other players fault. It is crap. Still they did fix it some and there are other improvements that should be here with the DLC.
5: See #1 and the DLC.
6: Most folks kinda agree although some just say, "Hang at the bug in 15."
7: This "doom light" thread needs some "caffeine" if you're not going to add the "sugar".

(and see I didn't mention "theirs"=/="there's". I'm getting better... Damn!)
