Quick Question in regards to general performance.

I was able to test the game on 360, however was not able to get a invite to check out the pc client.

While I really enjoyed the 360 beta, I quickly came to the conclussion its a game I would prob enjoy more on pc.

My Pc is quite decent, even if its not a young pup anymore, as such I am wondering how did the performance seem to people with pretty average pcs (year old ++)?

I am generally able to run newer games with no fuzz (such as dishonored), however other games like guild wars 2 will give me less then desireables framerate no mather the settings.

It really dosn't bother me if I am not able to play with max settings.

That said I havn't noticed any complaints about bad fps, which is suprising to me as a longtimer games beta tester, which is also why I feel the need to make this thread, just to clarify.

any response is greatly appriciated, thanks in advance.

my pc is about 3y old, and i run gw2 at maximum settings with a bit of a struggle, this game tho had no problem whatsoever during the beta, imo this is a bit less demanding than gw2 so you should be fine.

That sounds quite promissing, I take it you were running defiance at max aswell ?

Has the GPU & CPU of the 360 & PS3 changed at all over the years? I'm not sure since I dont own either. But giving the fact this game is cross platform I'm guessing a 3 year old PC should be able to run it providing your hardware was good 3 years ago for a PC.

Min system requirements for hardware is:
At least 2 GB System RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz CPU or better
512MB video card (NVIDIA GeForce 8600 class or better)
    ATI Radeon HD 2900

Yeah know the min/rec requirements, sadly such things have become less and less accurate over the last few years .

And no, the 360 is pretty much exactly the same except for some better cooling with the elite.

Im not to much worried about running it, as I am about running it smoothly, when framerate becomes unsteady my mood usually follows hehe.

To be fair, I guees gw2 is to blame for making me somewhat timid.

Thanks alot for the info guys.

I have a 4 yr old unit with a 9800 gtx video card. It plays really well doing missions, but gets quickly overwhelmed in a hot shot challenge. I wasn't able to join a pvp match, but I would assume it would get pretty damn choppy full screen at 19x12. I windowed at 12x9 and faired better, but decided that this game is a good reason to just buy a whole new rig...

Hmmm, it depends on your graphics card mainly. My old computer from five years ago was able to play any game flawlessly as long as I periodically upgraded the graphics card from time to time (it had an old quad core and 8GB of DDR2 ram). But if you're able to play Dishonored, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to play Defiance fine on medium graphics if anything.
