nope the problem lies in the fact the other choices of weapons are about as combat effective as a water pistol. They should spend some time buffing those. Not nerfing one of the only guns in the game worth using.
    When will you learn.

Why can't you guys just separate the stats for PVE and PVP? That would solve a lot of the balancing issues. The way it looks now it seems like you guys are putting more focus on PVP than PVE....which is silly 'cause I think it's fare to say that most people play Defiance for the PVE.

So why are you guys catering to a small percentage of the Defiance community rather than the majority? And if these "nerfs" are for the PVE then I ask why would you give a damn if the NPC gets owned by players....what they have feelings too?

    They actually wrote
SAW’s – The SAW weapons (FRC SAW, Frontier SAW and Machinist’s Gun) were all outperforming both other light machine guns and many other weapons. We have lowered the damage on these weapons to bring their overall effective DPS back in line with other weapons.

That's pretty much saying the saws cant get much clearer.

so in other words ,shotguns will become even more OP than most weapons ..more than they already are , in terms of nano effects proc rate because they wont be afected by the 1.5 cool down since they shot several pellets at the same time so the next time you pull the trigger it will still proc again...still one shot killing most ppl ,lowbies or ppl without def perks...it should be a chance to proc nano effects once per trigger pull and not per pellet..

This is true, if a handful of weapons are considered 'OP' when compared to a majority of the others that are underpowered when pitted against them the situation is clear; the majority of weapons are not up to scratch. Weapons that are 'OP' are working as they're meant to - those that aren't those are the ones that need to be tweaked to bring them in to line with the weapons that work as they're meant to; not cutting corners and going with the easier option.

Shotguns got 'nerfed' because players who couldn't understand that being in range of a shotgun usually spells out instant death or a really bad kick to the stomach cried for them to be 'nerfed'. So they did just that and shotguns are more or less useless now.

Then you have the players who used to equip shotguns that moved over to infectors which are considered 'OP' now due to the influx of ex-shotgun users moving to them because infectors are just as effective. This is what will happen again if infectors get the same treatment as shotguns did - all those players will move to another and the cycle will begin again.

'Nerfing' is really going in the wrong direction as it will do more harm over time than the opposite choice - which is increasing the effectiveness of the weapons that aren't up to standard.
