They use a dart board with random stickies with dates on each one and where the dart lands is the date they give
This is America and when something sucks you're suppose to get your money back
"Late July" according to E3. But they also said the raptor would have a turret at E3 and the Across the badlands said there would be no turret, so I wouldn't believe the late july comment at all.

Like I said I don't think they will meet this either. As we are entering 2nd week and no hype no mention no nothing.
If they was actualy going to make that time frame I believe they would be hypeing it to generate new players/revenue and bring back lost players.
Also with season end of the show. If they was going to make that mark it would help them to let people know to keep interest in the game .
Life is a big enough gamble without gambling with your life.
Nothign is easy but it is obvious to see the number of players is less, the price of the game has dropped, people discuss FTP, and there was the talk of all the layoffs.
"But playing in this arena isn’t cheap. Trion spent $50 million developing Rift, the hit game it released in 2011. Defiance is an even bigger undertaking, with a budget said to reach $80 million, pushing the cost of the overall project well north of $100 million. “Games with that kind of big budget are not typical,” says Brian Blau, a gaming industry analyst at Gartner. “It’s a big risk. They’ll have to attract a lot of users.”"

At the time, Syfy President Dave Howe was looking for ways to move the channel beyond its core business, which, despite boasting high margins, is in some ways not a terribly attractive one. “‘Profitable’ is an interesting word when it comes to scripted drama in cable,” Howe says.
While the network will generate revenues of $734 million in 2012, according to SNL Kagan, contributing to the $8 billion in annual revenues for NBC Universal’s cable networks group, it virtually never makes money on its shows directly. High ratings allow Syfy to charge advertisers and distributors more, but the programs themselves “are loss leaders, for the most part, or a break-even proposition,” says Howe. Even “Warehouse 13,” its highest-rated series, doesn’t make money per se.

Another article I read said 150 million spent if those sales figures are accurate you can look at the weekly breakdown and see week 2 has a 60% drop off in sales and then calculate the cheaper prices, the boost and bits issues, have they made up the 100 million as well as paying their staff and for the servers. breaking even, making a profit, or struggling to stay afloat. If I was given a choice to invest in Trion based on the small amount I have read I would not consider it a blue chip but a high risk investment I would say no.

What I don't understand is if the DLC is supposedly finished, why does Trion tease us with concept art?
