Sometimes they'll aim their gun at you most times they won't and you're still getting a full clip and dead if you've been surrounded. Idk the volge are pretty decent but wouldn't be hard to manage if they followed the same rules as the other factions.
    My beef with the Volge are the Viscera. They blur through solid objects and force you to the ground, even if that means it's travel from Point A to B is in a "s" shape just to get to you in the middle. If you are unlucky as to it stopping right beside you, it starts to melee and your down for good. Even after a self-revive it happens that it strikes you the moment you get up and your down for the long count...

    So, meeting them means
    * pop the old pod
    * plugg in the earbuds
    * turn up the Limp Bizkit - Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)

    It's crazy but this has only happened to me like once but I know exactly what you mean. I think this was initially what made me change my build to a defensive blur build because maxing out stealth and going for crits proved bothersome. Speaking of stealth I've noticed that these guys can still home onto you even if you're FULLY stealthed which was another reason why I dropped stealth for pve. Idk it seems like the volge were rushed out and weren't fully ready to be implemented into the game.

    Yeah, the dashing and shooting through, not around...through, solid objects like trucks is what puts me off. But still, I'm able to solo an emergency designed for a group so a death here and there seems a fair trade.

    The Volge, I find, are variable. I can and have soloed Volge emergencies without dying once (to my surprise), and that was with an automatic sniper rifle and a Wolverine.

    However, they're broken. They cheat like hell and they'll decide to follow you across half the map if you so much as drive past them. I find myself not really interested in playing with them around. They're just annoying. I dislike "challenge through application of bugs and outnumbering."

    Why would you want the game to be a cake walk? Just adjust your loadouts for all possible situations. You said you only use Decoy and Cloak? Well what about Overcharge and Blur?

    My loadouts mirror the combat feats:

    Commando = Overcharge/Assault Rifle and Infector
    Stout = Decoy/LMG and BMG
    Boomstick = Blur/Combat shotgun and Sawed Off Shotgun
    Shadow = Cloak/Bolt Action and Semi Auto Sniper
    PVP = Cloak/Bezerker Shotgun 2x for 24 rapid lay to waste shots lol

    This also helped me gain all the weapon exp I needed to level all my weapons and unlocks for the Combat feats. I have each outfit feat corresponding to each loadout. Makes it easier to remember whats what and gives me a good diverse setup for any situation.
    Im a DUDE so don't try and touch my goodies perv.

    Somewhere in Canada, judging from the location that's posted under his name.

    I play solo, volge's? yes sometimes they can be dificult, sometimes they quite easy.

    If the whole game was easy i doubt i would be playing it, i like variety of challenges at dif lvls. tough volge comes along, then you have to play tactic and yes, expect to die, i do loads . But you do have an option to not do them too.

    It is abit like coop's, sometimes they can be easy fast paced, other times they can be slow and quite tough, all depends who your partnering with. But i like it this way.

    Should be alot more toughies like volge 'but 3 foot smaller' within game to give variety.

    Dying in game and struggling with a toughie is called 'game play'. You don't really die, you respawn

It's actually a refreshing change of pace for how easy the rest of the game has gotten.
    Not all of the Volge encounters have the rocket launcher. It doesn't help I can't drive a mile without running into 2-3 Volge encounters at times either. And get ambushed by other enemy factions on top of that at times. You'd think Volge would get higher priority over a lone arkhunter on the kill list since the Volge aren't going to spare them.

    I tried the tactic, minus the rocket launcher in emergencies without it present, and ran out of ammo. A yellow element SAW, and a fire element wolfhound.
    I've not put a lot of stock in pistols outside the North Star flare gun. After trying the wolfhound, I gotta wonder what's the benefits of the Wolfhound?

    The game's never really been easy for me outside of Mt. Tam. Elite units are everywhere lately. Even Volge have Elite in their name at times.
    Sure there have been easy areas, but I almost always had the notion that if I screwed up, I was dead.

    I'd say it stems from the simple fact that not everyone plays the same way.
    Not everyone has the same skills in a game, player skills, or perk trees.
    Not everyone likes the same weapons.
    In essense, experiences vary.

    I can and have solo killed the volge, but i do not considered it fun.

    After playing MMO's for a number of years, and in particular coming from games with forced grouping, I find that i enjoy the reprieve from dealing with people. I mean hell look at the signature of IAmShepard, or the comment by Victim Eyes.

    I gotta agree here.
    I don't fear the Volge, they're just annoying the way I run into them almost constantly, and they are annoying to solo.

    I was kinda hoping Defiance would be diffirent towards soloing, but it's apparemtly not.
    Worse yet, with all the advice I've been getting it sounds like you either have to have the optimal loadout, or you're not going to win. I hate MMOs that impose a cookiecutter build mentality with no variations.
