The MMO increases difficulty with more people around. And you're forced to have the extra people & difficulty. Ergo, causing the weapons compensation issue.
I play solo but I also play in groups often. And in almost every Co-Op, Volge Siege, killing 99ers for the weekly,we play like this: Two of us sit in the back with Snipers one shotting grunts while the other two wade in on the big guys. I have litteraly never been in a situation where I cannot end a generic raider, 99er or even Dark Matter Enforcers and Snipers with a clean headshot.

The game is a shooter; unshielded trash mobs should only take 2-4 bullets to bring down IMO.

Counter that with better AI and buffed damage output.

There's no real downside to the A.I. having them. The only reason someone would consider it bad is if they suck.

A MMO where you 1hko most.. lol wut??? Are people here serious? I'd say, this is the first game of its kind, other MMO's your grinding for who knows how long, before you can even advance on the map or get to a 'over powered' feeling.
Can you imagine us running through 1hitting everything cuz its a sniper or a RL? I wouldnt even concidered for 1 sec, picking up a useless game like that.
If we should be able to 1hko enemies, a skitterling should kill us in 2 hits, everything else should kill us in 1 hit.

    'A sniper headshot, should kill...
    A rocket should obliterate...
    A automatic gun should shred...
    A car should kill...
    Enemies should die easily...'
..Any gamer looking forward to said above, just tried a MMO for the first time.
Your forgetting something TRMC. This isnt an MMO. Its a TPS with MMO elements.

Take the MMO aspects out of it. And its at best just an average TPS. You have only got to look at the PVP population that should tell you that PVP is bad on this game. Its the same people playing on XBOX all the time. Maybe on weekends a few new people play intending to get some pursuits done. But if they make it through the whole game, You can bet they wont play it again.

They should have left the PVP out of this game, Even the CO-OP maps are pointless, They can all be solo'd using a white shield and a white gun.

There is no difficulty to this game at all, Thats why its dying fast. And that will be its downfall. There are actually people complaining that the Volge need to be nerferd, I actually laughed when i read that. The Volge are easy. They can also be solo'd.

PVP, Its not about difficulty, Its about who can use the cheapest guns to get the easiest kills. There is no skill to it at all. The only way PVP will be saved, Is if they remove EGO powers and have different weapons for PVP to PVE.

Skitterlings should kill you in 2 hits, The game should be difficult to even travel on foot. But it isnt and is basically a childs shooter.

This game is in the same vein as Borderlands, not Call of Duty.

    But...

Games are meant to be fun and enjoyable.

This Game is an open world Adventure Game. With aliens, monsters, thugs, and other players. We have Campaign, co-ops, Arkfalls, PvP, pursuits, and random engagements. Lots to do, well done.

I know that you're trying to appease the crowd with adjustments. But don't forget why we play video games in the first place.

To relax, have fun, be competitive.

We all know what real weapons, & equipment do in real life. So we expect to see a resemblance of that in the games we play. We want to be able to do things we can't in real life. I.E. blowing up people with rockets, running them over with cars, & sniping enemies are just a few.

So when a game doesn't match those expectations, well... It just isn't fun.

Regardless of what the feedback is. You need to realize that most of these players aren't your typical PvP. If they were, they'd be swallowed in Halo, Call of Duty, or ARM4. They're RPGers.

    With that being said...

Gamers want to feel important, powerful & respected.

    A sniper headshot, should kill...
    A rocket should obliterate...
    A automatic gun should shred...
    A car should kill...
    Enemies should die easily...

Difficulty should be increased with a smart AI enemy & lots of them. Not Enemy Hit Points.

Honestly, the only time in the game that I've shot a gun and been impressed and was like, Yeah take that! Was when I used some of your Power/Special Weapons.

There's a Reason why people LOVED games like, God of War, Batman Arkham City, & Halo

Because they KICKED ENEMIES BUTTS!!! In those games. And smiled the whole time, while doing it.
I completely disagree, I'm sick of the devolpers messing with the guns leave them how they are and concentrate on the important stuff.

Like the things that I'v covered in this link here. http://forums.defiance.com/showthrea...ke-the-Tv-show.

Defiance needs a city, please Trion.

This game is NOT an MMO people. Groups of 4, Solo Bunkers, and playing with 32-64 other players doesn't make a game an MMO.

GTA V is going to have 32-64 players, with gang set ups.

    Guess that's an MMO too.

    Wow... Lol

Yeah, games should have a "challenge" (highlighted because certain difficulties are different for everyone ... eg, I found Dark Souls incredibly easy)....

    HOWEVER....

Saying that's why a game is dying is absolute camel excrement.

There are games out there with extreme challenges (take full loot pvp, perma death kinda games) that people flood other game forums with asking for just that and yet those games are about as popular as an axe murderer on a blind date.

People bleat on about wanting difficulty in the MMO's/RPG's/Farmville's that they play yet when a game appears offering that challenge they don't want it anymore.

Basically, what i'm trying in a round about way to say is, people don't know what the hell the want.

They know exactly what game a is yet spend more time on the forums asking for it to be more like game b than they do sodding off and playing game b.

I'll take generic MMO's as an example.

Since WoW popularised the genre (let's face it, before that game came out there weren't millions of us in Meridian, UO or EQ) we've had an influx of MMO's that tried to take that very formula.

WoW took everything from all the games that came before it and made it "accessible" (dirty word for some people) to "casual players" (another one of those dirty words). Some people live under the misguided impression that WoW was once "hardcore" to which I usually point and laugh at them.

    However, I digress....

A new MMO comes out, hotbars, some generic fantasy setting, half assed story ... the usual.

Folk say "it's the next big thing", "it's totally new and different from anything that came before it" yada yada yada....

Now look at that games forums, people that played Rift will know what I mean. Folk spent ages asking for features that other games have yet weren't happy when those features came.

Gamers have no clue what they want. The player base asks to be listened to yet most of the time the things they want would kill a game faster than speaking killed Katie Prices personality.
