I got the green version of this gun from a vendor a few hours ago, thought I'd just report my feelings of this gun now that I've got one.
In PVE, this gun just tears through everything. Don't even need to aim - It blows up everything infront of you, there is NO recoil. (0.25 Bloom) You can just hold down the trigger and aim straight forward and every blast will land in roughly the same spot.
When you're attacking Ark Crystals and enemies with Critical Hit spots (like the bugs when you shoot them in the back, or the Shield guys) You get critical hits without even aiming at the critical hit spots. Shoot a shield guy on his shield, and he dies. Shoot every weak spot on an Ark Crystal just by shooting anywhere on the Ark Crystal.
In PVP, this gun is absolutely absurd and I really hope it is removed from the game, if it is not removed or nerfed significantly (light effect removed, damage -50% at LEAST) then honestly, I see no point using any other gun because eventually everyone will be using this in there.
I now understand why everyone who has this gun, uses it as their new main weapon, it is because it is just infinitely better than every other gun, in every scenario. Right now, there is no point in me switching back to my Rifle, even though my Rifle is a Purple Rarity weapon - this Green VOT Plasma Pulse beats it in everyway - It does more damage, shoots faster, has a larger clip, shakes the opponents screen, blinds them and has an AOE effect.
It is the best gun I've had my hands on - by a long shot lol - I feel like I'm in godmode when using it and don't see myself putting it down until the end of Beta, if it is in the full game - It's the only gun I'll use, until I get two of them.
In my first PVP match using it I went 8-0 and finished on the top of my team.
