the idea is sound but, like the others said it would interfere with the show more than I think the game devs and the crew of the show would like

It wouldn't interfer that much even at all really simply because the content and events can be changing they say they want to introduce all this tie in content but yet when they have the opportunity sitting right in front of them they talk shtako and say its too interfering?!, I'm sorry but I completely disagree the game needs this, it would breathe some desperately needed air back into defiance.

And the show can progress with content for example battling the volge in the game might not come to the game until 2 weeks after its been released in the show, so it would also give the players more of a change to take part in these special events, and add that extra MMO feeling to the game that is needed.
