Refer a Friend - How to activate 30% Discount.

I'm new to the game and the forums. Getting to the forums itself was hard, as it wasn't located in the best place on the website to begin with. That was irritating, so if there's already a thread on this please refer it to me as navigating is hard enough. The question I would like answered is simply as the title states.

How do I activate the 30% discount? I have re-logged numerous times and tried to buy from the "Trion Store". The price remains at $39.99 USD. I've tried purchasing it via pay-pal to see if the discount gets applied there. It doesn't.

If anyone knows how to activate it, I'd be grateful as I am mildly curious in trying out this game. Although, first impression aren't exactly great.

The 30% discount was misleading, because you could get that discount regardless of whether you were recruited as part of recruit a friend.

So, no, you're not missing anything. It was never meant to be another 30% discount on top of the already 30% discount freely available to anyone who buys the PC client.

Technically, Trion didn't lie. They just didn't make it clear that the 30% discount was available regardless of participating in recruit a friend. It is a type of greasy marketing tactic I wouldn't have personally taken, but they obviously have their own marketing vision for the game.

Kevar, have you downloaded the client? Because for me the discount didn't show up until I had downloaded the client and tried to log in. Then it told me I had to buy the game before logging in to play it. Then when I clicked Buy the discount was finally there. Don't know if I needed to dl the client first, or if it just took a while for the discount to appear, but it eventually worked for me. Gl
