    Siege question.

I took a break from the game a little ways into that plague/siege episode. are the sieges themselves temp like that and taken out and new ones added etc? as i've started playing again and have not seen any pop up and am just curious if they are fully removed atm as they were alot of fun lol.

They were removed, but in the incredibly rare times they have talked about the upcoming DLC, they have stated sieges are a part of that, so presumably they will be returning.

The original Infected sieges were removed as previously stated. They may return later as a rewind event. We will be getting permanent Volge sieges end of July. We will probably see more sieges than just Volge down the road too, but expect sieges to become a permanent fixture once DLC1 drops.

They said that the plague sieges were going to come back during a rewind event. Why they decided to leave out the best part of the plague content in this rewind event while bringing back the worst part has left me scratching my head. The worst part being the constant NPC spam at fast travel points (MY BRAIN IS BURNING!)

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

I actually thought of the Afflicted Sieges as like a beta test for it, which is smart. Just like the Volge emergencies would be testing them out before releasing it completely. This way they can iron out some kinks. Because of course people are complaining about this and that with the Volge just like they where with sieges. The only real thing they seem to need to do with Sieges is fix up the lagginess and disconnections issues like they had to with Major Arkfalls.

Except they are putting in new turrets and changing the enemy type, the enemy AI, the locations, the spawn locations, how capture points work, how recapture by enemies work, and the procedural code for wave spawning since it was dependent on everything else so really all they tested was instance load tolerance (which they are lowering significantly by swapping Tremblers for Volge so it was a massive overload compared to what they would be looking at in the future).

You don't test **** then change everything.

They could have been testing plenty with those sieges easily without us knowing exactly what it was they where watching. Even using the base version of something can show a lot with some testing after all
