what if the wolfhound had no crit mult bonus...ive been shown a nice wolfhound with a BUNCH of ammo in the clip im preety sure it was in the 20something range...i thought that was amazing
My old wolfhound that Brian has now is a 36 round (highest possible) w/ quartermaster syn so it's a near instant reload after the 36th round. It literally just fires until empty

My current wolfhound is a Syphon one, sadly Survivalist and it has the following bonus

10% crit mult to incoming targets
    1.15 crit
    10% ego on full recharge
    1.10 fire rate

I would not let her go until I have found a replacement with assassin/radiation & a crit mult bonus and hopefully an ego on reload.

Well I guess it depends on what you use it for but if it's for pvp I'd say rolling thunder is by far the best hands down with crit mult from firing from the hip, paired with gunslinger the nano doesn't really matter, for mods I'd say use recoil reduction, extended mag, stabilization scope, and falloff damage most people put crit barrel but tbh fall off is by far superior on hounds.

For Pve since iv tried so many wolfhounds I'd say assassin and stalker are best, falloff damage is still better then crit mult specially if your planning to top afk falls with it it out damages the crit barrel, for nano you would want syphon or radiantion, and for bonuses you would want +crit mult, grenade refresh, + mag, crit mult while crouched or from the hip, if you are using a overcharge build swap out grenade refresh with crit kill, or on reload if it's for afk falls.

but if this weapon brings down targets fast whats up with the ego on reload ? i havent heard of Grenade on kill...wouldnt you benefit from grenade on kill

everybody want a wolfhound just like that, but what other option would be good combo on this, considering it alreadyy has a very high crit mult.... if it takes down enemies quick ....what other combo would be really nice?

But What makes a Wolfhound so amazing?
Lets get some actual stats in here!!!!
does a wolf hound HAVE to have crit mult bonus to be good? does it have to be Siphon to be good? does it have to have a mag bonus to be good? Does it have to have a [4] synergy to be good?
    What makes wolfhound great?

If you have a wolfhound and youd like to share the Stats of your beast, please dont hesitate to post, but please if the Wolfhound you have is not for trade, Please post up top or bottom of your post "not for trade"

This is a simple thread to help people understand Wolfhounds more and what makes them great.
After they nerf the SAW and ALL gun's Nano Effects they will next halve the Critical Multiplier for ALL Weapons in order to reduce the damage output of the Wolfhound.

While I am kidding - they will probably do something idiotic like this ^^^ in order to tone down the Next Beast gun in the game after the nerfs come down.

If Trion had a fly in their studio they would kill it with a bazooka.

ON to my best Wolfie - Blue - Shock - NS, 2 crit rolls plus barrel = 5.1 crit & I have pistols at only 10.

Guess it all depends on what the wolfhound is being used for... I use mine for arkfall crit spots so I find I benefit the most from +25% ego refresh on reload (ego bonus + pumped up). Grenade on kill is still a nice bonus to have though.

Any of these are welcome on my Wolves:

    Any form of +Crit
    Any form of +Dmg
    + Mag
    - Reload
    + Accuracy
    + Ego on Kill
    + Nade on Kill

Not sure if +fire rate does anything

I could see Wolves falling into something like this:

    -Deep Mag
    -Fast Reload/Moderate Mag
    -Stuff On Kill
    -Straight up Crit Monster

actually heard that fire rate hurts the gun unless you have some form of recoil reduction or bonus since the kick back is pretty ok, in order to pull many crits in a row with fire rate, a recoil bonus is needed imo. fire rate would help the next shot fire quicker after initial shot has left the barrel

there are a lot of great combos that can go with a wolfhound
each combo can be used for specific combat styles like:
    arkfalls
    sieges
    hulkers
    pvp
    pve

The ultimate bonus on these is the x1.15 crit, toxic, radiation, and Syphon work great. Electric and fire make the enemies move around and its harder to hit the crit spots, but the thing I think you guys are missing is a bonus to fire rate. Those crit spots are only in the crosshairs for so long and you gotta make the most of them. Good twitch reflexes in your trigger finger help too.
