Be Kind (please help me with a simple) Rewind (question).

I just bought the game a few days ago, and I am grateful Trion is having a Rewind Period for all the Episode Missions thus far. To begin with, I had many questions about that, but I then received all the voice communicates for the various Episode Missions and saw them pop up on my map. Also, I (finally) noticed the proper order they go in is listed on the Pursuits screen. However, I am left with one two-part question. Is there a required/suggested Level/EGO Rating for doing the Episode Missions, or do they just automatically scale to your existing Level/EGO Rating? Thank you for the help.

It's not exactly intuitive is it? First, you can complete all the episode missions at any EGO. EGO only determines the number of perks you have and to a small extent, the quality of items that drop. The only difference between an EGO 30 shotgun and and EGO 3000 shotgun is the high level one will have one or two extra boons like a 10% faster reload and maybe an accuracy bonus. Damage potential is the same for the most part. Shields are about the same way. Your EGO 250 respark will have the same recharge rate as an EGO 3000. the EGO 3000 might have an extra damage resist on it and might have a couple hundred extra HP on it.

My advice is do the replays in the order of pursuit except for Rynn's. The AR you get at the end of episode 1 is a very strong weapon regardless of your EGO level. Then swap over to Rynn's (The Vagabond mission?) and do those until the last mission. That way you'll have a variety of shields to choose from. Rynn's last mission and The Plague mission can cause rage quitting for new players.

You want the AR at the end that first mission. I was so happy to have a second chance at it (Scrapped mine) DAMN sweet gun and helped me get though the early game. I believe there is also a Frontier SMG (Fire nano) as a reward in there too. Blue rarity and pretty nice for early use. (Can't remember which mission)

Find a Ground Pounder or Big Boomer before doing Rynn's final or the Final for the Plague one.... they will make you go less crazy....

BTW.... Welcome to Defiance B1GG1N !
