I can't decide what build I want to start with in Defiance on launch day! I love assault rifles always have always will and over charge with AR's are great. But cloak and shotgun is also sooooooo fun. It feels like the suit from the Crysis series.

My beta character was cloak and shotgun but then I used a sniper rifle and that was really fun. Now I can't decide :5
I like Cloak and shotgun because of the instant shield regen everytime you recloak. I would use blur if the melee was a bit stronger.Originally Posted by Sludge
I really liked SMG's and Infectors when I was playing, and used them for most of the beta.
But I started playing with shotguns towards the end and those are pretty fun.
SMG's and Infectors are both close-mid range guns, I should carry something with more range like a AR.
As for Ego power...Not sure, NONE of them really appeal to me, I guess I will go with cloak as at least it allows me to reposition myself and sneak past enemies and turrets.

I liked AR with Overcharge Tend to start with the Sniper Rifle and then Gather Guns along the way then I can just Respec to what ever I feel like on the fly after I build up my Ego.
I unlocked all the powers but for a start build I used overcharge
Then use everyyyything!

Nah, I am going with AR or LMG and overcharge. I tend to burn through a little too much ammo with the AR. The LMG (at closer range) will give you more damage per round, and about the same DPS. The only bad thing is that the LMG is awful and anything above medium range. Oh and I only really like full auto. I like to burst on my own at range but have full auto ability up close. I get the feeling the LMG is going to get tweeked a little bit since no one else seems to like it.
Im rolling in with LMG as my main gun, never did test the hip fire though, and I'm thinking Blur for the needless to reload switch to shotgun get in your FREAKIN FACE type ish.. may go with overharge though.. decisions decisions..
