Either someone had a change of heart or a mistake was made. There's an option to download the client now for those that have entered their keys.
Thats odd, currently downloading the Defiance client right now which was list under Defiance PC when managing my Trion account. And note this is not the section with the Beta client download.
I hope their servers can handle the load or there will be a lot of angry posts from people who bought the game and can't download it due to traffic.
I wish they'd just let us play=( Got 120 codes, Digital Deluxe, I deserve a headstart=)

A) Most MMOs - especially at launch - do not offer their client for non members. This is why they pop up on torrents, so that people can download the content and then buy a CD key off the internet
B) The link only showed up recently.
C) Yes logging in and playing is a different story and so is knowing if you're actually patching the live content, and not something else that will be useless later on.
It's fairly obvious that a lot of people can't 'afford' to download whatever whenever especially at 10gbs a pop.
It's a bit silly, cruel and misleading to offer a 'new' patcher, with downloadable content, if that turns out to be the wrong data.
Meanwhile, everyone running around the forums getting people's hopes up and potentially wasting their bandwidth.
There'll be dozens of angry posts regardless. I personally can't wait for the "were is all of my progress from the bata/demo". It's going to be a blast
