They just need more content for people to aspire to, not gear as the carrot...and definitely not grind for no reason. Content will keep people playing and in the game, and (hello accountants) at the cash shop buying fluff and whatnot.
TL;DR: add more content Trion.
I respect your opinion, but since the beginning of gaming, they who could invest themselves were the superiors. Pick any game and it's true. If I spend more time playing pong, I will be better than the guy that just picks it up. If we both start playing FFIII on SNES at the same time but you have more time to put in, you will learn the game faster and see more content quicker than I.
Myself, I'm ego 1366 atm. I have no reason to put one more level in - main campaign is beat, seen all the coops, pvped, done all the arkfalls, done all the Episodic content, I've seen every last shred of what this game has to offer. I've also seen that Trion doesn't care about players like me. As Lollie said, add content. The whole reason the community is up in arms never the DLC not being out yet is because they simply didn't give us enough meaningful things to do at launch.
what about not trolling the forums, I have tons of skill, ego of 4k and worked for everything I got, im one of the players laird is talking about, I should boss your a ss at arkfalls for during pvp, you should have kings amongst peon's, you should have a reason and a reward to plying over 1000 hours into this game, not this bitter taste that I have right now, sitting here reading this, being frustrated because trion completely destroyed my work and time invested..Originally Posted by Valanga

they didn't punish the community, and this is not no real community because we fight each other on issues that we should be united on.. I met a week old player 2nights ago said same things Laird did, yet we have ppl like you on here who says something about getting kicked in the nutts? really?

then next time you market and sale something to ppl, then make sure you lable your game correctly, no where on the box does it say anything about pvp, yet this game is really only patched and nerf for pvp.. honestly I would like a refund for how this game was sold as one thing, and then turned into a newb fest of low ego players playing only 3 weeks but yet having a voice in what direction this game and company goes..

Love the game, but could they have a LITTLE something to work towards? Of course they could!
Besides a 4k ego outfit, you get no benefit, only punishment. That's a weird system. People like having something to gain.
In some games its story, in some its levels, stats, powers, whatever.
Defiance story is too short, EGO powers are now all unlocked at lvl 1000, equipment doesn't really change. Only difference is an outfit, and 5-100X the price of doing anything.....
We don't need much, I actually don't even need anything like that (IF we were to get some more co-op maps and things of the sort, that would help...)
Sorry mate, I have plenty of time to play this game, a lot in fact, but I'm not here crying because my character is not stronger than one of a noob...
Saying that you "worked" for a game is just a joke, tell that to ppl who really work... Oh I forgot those damm workers must be peon...
