actually a little thing like a deer or how the sunlight reflects off stuff isn't trivial

some poor coder spent a long time creating such and a thread mentioning such things shows appreciation for said coder's work

Also since a large chunk of the gaming population for the game will be coming from a mmorpg gaming background as vs shooters, exploring is a big thing where as a straight up shooter player would be happy if you just drop them in a plain white room with guns to shoot each other
