I'm just onto amazon on live chat now and they are saying if I order a standard edition they will accept it back "opened" and they will send me an email to confirm this so I have proof of this agreement. I know this sounds dodgy, but I'll post back if I get the email confirmation. I'm just trying to get them to accept and refund the cost of 1st class postage seeing as I have missed today's post which would be the day to ensure we receive it on the Tuesday due to bank holidays.

Everything I have seen suggests that you can play without an account, all the link is for is to give you your preorder stuff and the ark fall code rewards.

exactly which is why i dont understand Amazon accepting the standard back again with a used key. This should be verified with them before you build hopes on returning item. And if you link game to trion axccount you can only do it once so bear that in mind if your changing to ultimate

Where the heck did you see that? It's a MMO, you need codes to play MMOs, thats how they activate your account to play. There isnt any offline mode.
