In this case that is correct. As I have said I would not be able to offer compensation because this is not a result of an Amazon error. You may have noticed from other posts that we are currently doing our best to offer an alternative solution for our customers.

I have noticed other post and I am going to go on live chat with amazon as soon as Sledge will post the update on the issue.
Amazon is offering alternate way of 'compensation' which is a way of ordering a standard edition and then accepting it with a full refund when UE arrives. This is for of compensation is it not? so yeah at the end of the day you do compensate in a way.

Refunds are processed within 3 days of them getting the item back. You can play it on launch and you also get sent a nice bundle of additional DLC

Because of Easter weekend you'll have to pay another £5.99 to get it on release day. May want to check if they'll refund postage too.

to be honest the amazon live chat users have no bloody idea. On one chat I was told that I would receive it on the 2nd, on another I was told the 12th, and for a laugh I tried a third chat and that person had no bloody idea :P. I just don't want to order the CE edition and then have the UE turn up on the same day

I'd do the same again and see if you get someone else. If some are doing the deal them eventually you'll chat with someone helpful.

I just ordered the SE from amazon on first class, they said they will refund the postage on the email, but didn't want to risk £6. This game could get very expensive (it better be good).

The CE edition has been pulled as well fella. Only standard editions available or the Game Exclusive Edition with 500 bits and a gun for 2 quid more than normal.
