Then Trion can develop a statement that Sledge will pass on to us. This all can take time. If you aren't prepared to wait, you can of course cancel the UE order and place an SE order.

I feel for the pain this has caused the Xbox community in the UK, but a solution isn't ready until it's ready.
He said he had something to tell us but couldn't tell us yet. He isn't making up an answer as he has said he already has one.

Today is the last day UK peeps buying by post can order a copy of the game and get it for April 2nd which is why we all need to know what the fluff is going on...telling us on April 2nd is pointless.

Good morning Blastiel :-) Don't you find it really helpful when people that aren't affected by an issue chime in with 'advice'...!

Nobody here is being aggressive or ungrateful of Sledge's efforts but we need to know ASAP so we can find alternatives for Tuesday.

Not much love shown for the UK. It's like Eurovision :-)

Clarification is needed though as Sledge has implied they already have the answer and 'will outline what is happening'. The issue is the vagueness of the statement.

e.g Saying 'We should hopefully have an update for you within the next 24/48/72hrs' is a lot better than just saying 'we have an update incoming'.

You know as we'll as I do that if you don't offer a provisional timescale (even if it turns out to be unrealistic and needs to be changed - standard customer service does this all the time) then people will keep asking.

I am not being critical of Sledge or anyone's efforts - they do a fantastic job. This however is a major ****-up and it needs a little more care and understanding. Also, I wasn't quite expecting your abrasive tone this early in the morning. Thank you so much for pointing out that I can always cancel my UE and get the SE if I don't have the patience. I hope that you don't work in customer service...
I'm sorry that you felt the tone of my post was abrasive. I truely didn't mean it to be that way. Perhaps it's the culture differences between our countries that causes you to read it that way?

Good for you, but don't count your chickens just yet. This is a bit of a mess. I preordered on Feb 1st and haven't received an amended email like yours yet. Looks like they do have a priority list at the very least, and you're right at the front of it :-)

...or probably me getting up early in the morning to look after my baby daughter and being a bit grumpy. Don't worry about it :-)

A good nights sleep dreaming of hell bugs, I hoped to have a nice email or statement about a solution to wake up to. Oh well, i'll have to wait for 10 hours now until I get home from work.

The email I received from Amazon overnight was: -

    Hello Mr,

Good day! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for being a valued Amazon customer.

This is Lordz and I spoke with you earlier on the phone regarding your order #204-9#####-1######.

I'm sorry for the unexpected delay of your order. I have researched the availability of "Defiance: Ultimate Edition (Xbox 360" and learnt that its release has been delayed until 12 April 2013.

As soon as the item has been released, we'll be able to dispatch it to you. As per our standard policy, we do not charge you for items until they enter the dispatch process, so you will not be charged for this item until it is about to be sent.

In addition to a wide selection of items, one of our aims at Amazon.co.uk is to provide a convenient and efficient service; in this case, we have not met that standard. Once again we are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this issue and hope this will not discourage you from shopping with Amazon.co.uk in the future.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

    Warmest regards,
    Lordz
I ordered the UE on 6 Feb.
