    I only read half the thread, but all I can say is welcome to my world. Namco Bandai has completely screwed up distribution on this game and has flat out lied to retailers in several countries by telling them the collector's Edition is US only. Nor has a confirmed release date been given for NZ and Australia yet.

    And the sad fact is based on the complete lack of response or any resolution to this matter, Trion Does Not Care.

    If they did my months of posting about this issue here would have seen the issue fixed by now, anyway 7 days until the supposed launch of Defiance over here and still Nothing has been done, and it seems unlikely I will get any of the stuff I want with the Collector's edition, or any of the preorder stuff as none of that is being advertised with the copies being sold in NZ. If the Beta had not been so much fun I could have easily walked away from this abyssmal mess.

    There would be no issue with late releases if that was the case. Amazon could just email us the UE code with all the preorder content and then we would only have to wait for the physical items to turn up.

    But Namco Bandai is teliing retailers certain editions are exclusive when they are not. I have been posting about this for months, Nothing has been done. The reason no one else has the ultimate editions or Collector's editions is because Namco Bandai is not letting any one else have them.

    I agree as long as I can start playing on 02/04 I dont mind waiting for physical stuff to come.
    There is a rumor that some missions wont be available after the 1st episode airs so that leaves us with 5 days only that is if you have time to play... I certainly wont have as much time as I would have if it came on 02/04

    An online pass, usually unlocks the online side of the game, this is done like any other code you put in your xbox (like for ms points). Once you have this code and it's unlocked for use with your gamertag. That's all it does. If you have 2 accounts wanting to play it at different times, you can buy an online pass to unlock it for that account.

    You pay £40 for the game and you get online access either automatically or through a code you input, they have stated on the interviews there is no monthly fee. If you get a SE and and UE you could more than likely swap the codes between boxes and be ok. As long as you can return the opened SE.

    It wasnt the publisher it was the manufacturer
