Though some would call me a bad parent for letting my 5 year old play Reach, some would say don't see a problem with it, it's just someones opinion to me though. In the end i feel i'm the parent and it's what we decide.

Gawds man, seriously?! its rated M. meaning its a strecth for an 11 year old. but atleast you asked, didnt get it then blame the company for it when it was too violent and graphic. But to be honest, it does have actual swear words like **** and **** ( last one not sure of, but sh*t for sure. The captian says it when the ship goes down. Also *******. when speaking to van bauk, however ya spell his name.)
but it'll be fine for the 11 year old, since if he's playing GW2 he should be fine... maybe. the swearing is pretty noticable, but thats about it. not much sexual themes or drug refences or hell even blood. ESBRA gave to strong a rating. Its a teen game for sure.

we have yet to see lol the TV show has a place in defiance (the city) 'need want', literally they sell sex in that venue so there is a huge possibility there will be a lot more sexual themes later down the line. I think it'll make its way to the game because one of the main characters (the mayer's sister) is the person who runs it and also sells herself for money. not to mention I already see that van guy making flirty remarks to that other chick you follow in the beta lol they may be throwing in some innuendos

PG-13 movies don't use F-bomb btw. It's one of the words that kick it up to R afaik and hence a game to mature.

I never played this game, but I bought Defiance for myself on a whim last night on Steam. I have some questions:

I have a three year old that likes to play his computer; he can play Section 8 very well. Is it similar?

I don’t buy my three year old shooters, excluding Section 8 (long story). I play Guild Wars and EQ2 with my 11 year old. I would like to buy something that we can all play. But I do watch what my kids play, would you let you child play this (3 or 11)?

Can the three of us play together (if I buy two other accounts) without the need to have other group members?

If a player shoots another player does it hurt him, in PvE? (assuming not)

I loved Tabula Rasa, are these games similar?
