Then the game would be labeled "pay to win". It wont happen. Beside, it's about the journey not destination. Why bother buying the game if you want to be at end game right away?

You can buy Trion! And nobody will play the game you bought.

How to get Defiance at $9.99:

Step 1 - Register as an Ark Hunter:

^^^^pay to win what? - there is no way to pay to win in the game's current state. You win nothing at 5k ego. Lol

A few people are better than me when they buy a character they didn't work on? So? More people who got the XP themselves know how to play and what works because they got the XP and are better than me because of it.

People with nothing invested of themselves in the character development frequently dont care and have no reason to respect all the people around them because they have nothing in common with all those strangers. People that developed characters usually did it around other people, and usually have the chance to share experience with people who become friends in the game.

You're asking for an anonymous player game to be as impersonal as possible, why bother playing online at all, you can play offline with all the cheats and be king of your world in 20 minutes.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

I was asking Remag as to why they would quit not you.

But in regards to your response.

Your answer does not make sense it does not show how your game play is affected since you can still toddle off and do what you are currently doing. All it implies is judgment.

You keep forgetting this isn't an MMO and paying to get a maxxed character is not cheating if you are buying it from Trion. Just exactly who is being cheated if I buy a character? You?... how so?

Because it trivializes the entire experience. Why bother doing it legit when you can pay $100 for max level.

I'm not going to continue to do it legit, and I'm not paying cash for levels, therefore I quit. That sort of extreme P2W mentality also leads to practically everything else the game offers to end up on the cash shop in some form.

    Thanks for the response Remag

You would not even know who has paid for a pre- leveled character in game. It's not like they advertise it when playing for the most part. Unless the declare it you could never tell.

So is not the trivialization is going on in your head alone? ( I am asking this respectfully)

    Say something like …

    1. Ego 1000 points would be about $25.00 worth of bits
    2. Ego 2500 points cost around $50.00 worth of bits
    3. Ego 5000 points could go for $100.00 worth of bits

Maxed characters leveled in other games I played without great gear usually go for around the $100.00 range that I saw for sales of such characters.

For people who actually have life get in the way of their gamming, work and can afford it, this levels the playing field. Defiance really is not much of an MMO. Prepaid characters would not hurt the game play.
Those who can't afford it can level up through the grind.

People who can afford to buy levels can focus on having fun without having to go through the mind-numbing grind that happens from 2000 ego upwards. Some people do not have the time to grind away, are pretty good players and they should not be penalized for having to work in real life or deal with family.

Trion finally would have something solid to sell aside from pack spaces and people could buy as much ego as they need to or go the full deal. If I only wanted 3500 ego I could pay $75.00 if that’s all I needed. This hurts no one and really is good cash cow.

This is not an intensely group dependent game so my ego levels really do not impact anyone while playing. If I suck at coops then I suck it really does not make a hell of a lot of difference given the context of this game.
So, assuming you have read books, do you skip to the last chapter? Since you're so "busy" and all?

If you don't have time to play a game, don't play it. Self moderation and personal responsibility have gone the way of common sense and the dodo.
