if you got a legendary every 1500 kills (for instance), they wouldn't be very special. That means that after the 3 months I have played this, I would have 12 legendaries (based on 1500 kills per week, I actually have a lot more kills than that) . But it didn't work like that, of those 12 (or so)I have got, 90% of them were all in a short time frame and then I went 2 months without getting one.
I prefer random to knowing when my next one is due, as random you may get more than you bargained for.
Drops are random, hypothetically you could get 4 orange items in one T4 box, Every drop is a new roll, game doesn't keep track of what items its given you, explaining why some times you get duplicates. I don't want it to be done via a formula as then people will just play to match the formula.
