I don't quite understand why everybody is so critical of Trion. This game is pretty fun. And, let's face facts here: if you are already sick of the game, you're going to burn through the DLC in a weekend and be back on the forums by Monday whining about the next DLC.

Best thing to do in my opinion is try not to play like a rampant gamerholic so you don't ruin the game for yourselves so quickly. It's summer. Go outside and powerwash the aluminium siding or something.
Character name: Pistoleera --- Good pistols to trade or sale.

I am neither a Hater not Defender. I play and enjoy the game, while noting its flaws. Forums I use mostly for entertainment at work, Plus some very useful info when I remember to bring it home. Anywho...

I am not going to Rag on Trion but I will say I am constantly suprised how different the user experience is in Defiance compared to RIFT. Seems like alot of the design philosphy and techniques learned with RIFT were tossed aside, or ignored when it came time to build Defiance, and no most of it is not the fault of "cross platform". It feels like they just hired an outside shop and slapped Trion and Defiance logos on the door, rather than building with staff with experience from RIFT. As for the DLC, RIFT would drag out expansions and patches too, but at least there you had guys playing on the Playtesting shard who were telling you "Dudes its just not ready yet"

I have a 7am to 6pm Monday-Friday job.... if i'm complaining about nothing else to do in the game, there is something wrong.

Lastly, I inquired if there would be a download code for Xbox 360 owners that wished to play on Xbox One. Citing that our entire Xbox 360 game would carry over, I asked what the benefit was to making gamers re-purchase a game that would in essence stay the same. I did not get a response to this but was informed an announcement would be coming as well.
Uhhhh...What? Since when was an XBOne version confirmed? I'm confused over this part.

It wasn't. This dude has a random blog, typed "Trion PR" into google, and then pretended that his answers came from Trion's head of PR.

Another MMO just released a very informative blog about the future of their expansive b2p game....they actually talk to the community on a regular basis and infact listen.

Can Trion do the same for Defiance?

    NOPE!

Lots of vague promises that you have to scour the net for though.

This is the difference between a dev who cares about their game and one that got hired to make one.

So now we wait and wait and wait for the doors of Mordor to open to give us some information about the DLC. They said end of July but that clearly is not going to happen.

So the ball in your park Trion? Oh wait, nobody's home. DOH!

Sad day when fans of any game have to look for blogs to guess about coming changes instead of getting direct communication, but maybe that's what games are now these days and consumers come to expect?

I guess the next step is for some guy to visit the john at Trion HQs, sit down and read the graffiti keyed into the stall walls and then Twitter everyone about what they just read and what it means is coming in the DLC.

The above CLEARLY shows DLC will be coming Soon™.
