True enough, although I hope it's more of a case of a few bad apples rather than the whole bunch these days. Whereas in the early days of MMOs, it was ridiculous. Encountering a female player was all too often treated like a unicorn sighting or something.
In any case, it's unfortunate... and exactly the kind of behavior that does lead to some female gamers continuing to use male characters, and having very little interest in letting nosy virtual strangers know about their 'real life' details.
