    Was it me or...

    did the SMG and AR share the same ammo pool?

    They did. As well as LMGs.

    I hope retail wont be that way. I mean it's common to find some LMG's to share the same ammo as most AR's like the M4 fires the 5.56 and the saw m249 fires the 5.56 as well. But I've fired an SMG with a 5.56 or 7.62.

    The way it was explained to me after searching around the forums is that weapons of the same type share ammo. So in this case:

    AR, SMG & LMG = same ammo
    Pistols, Magnums, Revolvers = same ammo
    Pump Shotguns, Combat Shotguns, Auto Shotguns = same ammo
    Sniper Rifles = same ammo

    I'd say the best way to ensure you don't run our of ammo is to make sure you use two weapons with different ammo types OR familiarize yourself with all of the ammo cache locations. Hope this helps.

    Yep that's right bro.. I don't really like that the LMG share ammo with SMG and AR being that I don't know any that use the same as a LMG but I'll get over it lol..

    Yeah it's a bit weird but I'll deal with it... while I hope they change it.
