    Vendors specials

    Absolutely sick of this. Did my circuit of the vendors again tonight, and not surprisingly.. every. single. vendor had either Rocket Launchers or Detonators up for sale. I don't care for those weapons, and am tired of wasting my time checking when all they seem to offer are weapons not suitable for my playstyle. I'm beginning to think that the vendor weapon choice is not the least bit random.

    I would like to know from a dev if this is WAI. Vendor specials are player specific. Do they spawn weapons based on player non-preference, weapon level, or some other factor? Clearly, and I know this after playing since launch, the weapon spawns are NOT really random, but seems designed to give options of least interest to the player.

    WAI or bug?

    And when can we expect his to be addressed and fixed?

    It isnt random. Not in the least. It seems certain times of day/days have certain items up versus others. I went on a check the other day across most vendors and encountered 6 different VOT tacc mag pulsars.

    I'm pretty sure it just cycles through a list. 1 day I see nothing but green pistols, the next all lvl 3 mods... technically meets the requirements for random.

    same with the mods its always crapy rocket launcher sights and stuff i never use mostly green / white crap
    take the white off specials completly trion we can buy it any time if we want so whys it coming up on specials still a bit pointless

    I used to see synergy mods (other than scavenger) in the vendor specials. I no longer see them. Instead all I see are those stupid level 1 rocket launcher mods. Something really got botched up a few patches ago.

    I have heard talk that Vendor specials and lockboxes are more likely to give you weapons in which your overall skill level is low. The hypothesis is this is done to give you weapons so you can level your skill up. Kinda works for my orange pulls so far. Lowest skill is detonators, 2 of my 3 oranges have been detonators. The other was a Canker when my skill level in infectors was about 5...

    I had heard this too. I know my post was largely QQ, but I'm frustrated with the rigged lottery system that we seem to have. Make it completely and truly random, or tell us the criteria.

    We need transparency in the system. Otherwise, you give your players the feeling that they are just unlucky all the time when it comes to weapon drops and vendors. We already see the frustration the Lock Box lottery is giving players.

    When your system only makes your player base frustrated, disappointed, or angry, you need to rethink the design, or at the very least COMMUNICATE the system mechanics so we can at least know why we are or are not getting the weapons we are looking for.

    IMO, weighting the vendor spawns in favor of weapons a player is NOT using/leveling is a terrible design. You are basically punishing a player for their play style.

    Game thinks I must want pistols, since its my lowest skill. Every vendor is offering me pistols/detonators and a pistol mod, 99% of the time. I still look as randomly it does select an item I might actually use.

    I am in process of getting rockets above 15, if game still offers me rockets after that I will have to say the theory of drops is not as obvious as I suspect. After rockets I need to do detonators and pistols, to even out my choices in shop. I guess by time you have lvl 20 everything, it will be back to random again. Alternate theory is it tracks what weapons you have used recently and offers alternatives, but I have no proof.

    Nope game doesn't know what you need to level up or what you want, it's random.

    Guess what, I'm 20 at AR and I found a pretty siphon AR with good bonuses today at vendor.

    It's all random.
