Honestly how long, most of us bought it the day the season pass was there for sale
I have patience but I anit not doctor and I need new content to keep me interested in this game
If just gets old and boring after a couple months of grinding

WE WANT THE DLC, enough is enough all right all ready
I want to know when the first DLC is going to be released, haven't heard anything in quite a while concerning the DLC packs.
A week ago today, on trion twitch stream of play defiance, sledgehammer70 spoke to the DLC. They were speaking about how they want the ptr(public test realm(imo worthless due to how many mistakes from alpha still exist even now when we tested)) was getting its last touches and would be up in the "coming weeks". After that he said that they would try to get up(but no promises) the DLC on the PTR for a short time to let folks test it because as he said "they want to make it as perfect as possible".Originally Posted by jojobean1979

Also, he again said that when they are ready to announce the DLC they will shout it out to everyone because they want folks to know its coming.(Duh because they want people to buy in on it).
So, all in all, we've got a while yet before it goes live.
Some are hoping/expecting something today at at SDCC(San Diego Comic Con) will be announced in this regards too because they're again previewing the DLC there since Defiance has a large presence at the con. But again, I expect this to be a kiting tool and Im doubting they'll give a firm date. If they do even give a firm date, Im also expecting it to get delayed. This is their pattern we've all grown accustomed to.
All nice to know but we been waiting and most of us have paid for it with the season pass and the game is lagging without new content and I can shoot myself in the foot too.
ITS All Simple Really They put out a good game BUT ARE MISSING THE MARK and that will hurt us diehards in the longrun
Sorry I am mad but the love and hate I have of this game is just THE Passion I have to play it.
Oh I agree they're screwing up big time on all this. Have to remember actually that Nathan Richardsson was promising the DLC not too long after launch after 2 patches to fix bugs and issues. As early as day 5 and day 6 after launch he was talking about this in the blogs(which are still up and you can see). They were also saying all 5 were to be released before the end of the year in those vapid days. I really think the original intention was to have the DLC -during- may still while the show was new/fresh to compound interest in the game. With the issues, lack of sales, 70% of the team being laid off and more, they've been in a damage control holding pattern ever since.
I also dont hold too much weight with what sledgehammer claims on things at times either to be honest. This is the same guy who told everyone that orange gear dropped on the ground from mobs to which to date not a single person has proven this to be correct.(and most of us knew it wasnt logically true then.). Sledge just doesnt/hasnt played the game live all that much (he was out for a while while his wife expected their third child for example). Greg and Elizabeth on the community team have probably played more than he has live imo, though I could be wrong hehe.
Anyway, the point is that these 4 months have been a rather bad for em and there is no indication that the situation is going to 180 improve.

Can they really handle the truth, I started playing 2 weeks after live and its a grind to no end, I bought my grandson a copy and he gave up at 340 ego. Now really that kid will do America's Army, COD and Black Opps to no end
This game has potinial and is a blast to play for a bit but it dies far too soon, I loved the idea of the replay mastery, there they brought back stuff to every player but short blasts can't cut it we need the dlc and Much More
Heres where I am at 63 been gamin since the late 70s, did a lot of maps like over 1500 just for me and my friends broke into the field of programing thru it, But now I want what the games should be. I am done with code and debugging, I know their plight
