And come on guys you need to have some faith in Trion.... these have been trying times for them, and now they need us to light the candle of belief, wish upon a star, click our heels together, and sprinkle some fairy dust. The magical broom sticks will come to life and code the bejezus out of the DLC packs and we will all join hands in brotherhood and togetherness and SING..... Sing the song of praise unto Trion and all of their mystical powers to make 5 DLCs in the next 8 Months! Hallelujah!!!!!!!

The level of communication right now we're getting out of Trion is horrid.

Indeed. I played the bejeebus out of Defiance since release, even fell for the deluxe version with high hopes for the future. Main selling points for me were shadow wars and pvp, plus some awesome pve potential. The tv-show tie-in didn't make sense for me, and still doesn't. All in all, high expectations that fell to dust.

I did get my money's worth, but it was definately a single player experience with some random grinding.

As a shining example as to how communication can, and should, flow between a game's developers and its playerbase you need look no further than Firefall's closed (massive changes due to player's input) and open betas. One of the bigger greenlit name-escapes-me game on steam where users gives input and weight on issues from a pool of vote resources.

Late july has to be the release date as trion said and if it gets pushed back a month i might go insane.. I like the game but i need something else to do.. Iv already completed most of the pvp feats and shadow wars arent happening its always at 24/64 players waiting i dont think you need 64 people to start off :/

Hmm these charged blades how would they work if your being shot at? I know for sure we not about to be cutting bulllets in slow motion or something like that and since they are "Charged" im guessing you have a certain amount of charge points like how we have a certain amount of ammo for each gun so we might have to refill it after a while .. July 31 .. I wonder whats the hold up on the dlc is it bugs they are fixing or what.. I MUST KNOW!
