I have lost all faith in Trion all together. They keep delivering empty promises, and lack of communication from them does not help either.

I just did that very same thing. When the only thing to do is run the storyline missions again for about the 30th time, it's not very enticing. Nor is grinding the same arkfall for the bazillionth time. Or grinding out the last pursuits for outfits that are actually pretty ugly, and I'll never make my avatar wear. I don't even really LIKE the main storyline, because it's so limited in scope and creativity. It's just something to do...
Why does Trion think that slowly doling out content that should have been in the game at release, as well as giving us no reason to believe that it will be any less lackluster, uninspired, or full of bugs as their initial offering, will make us actually want to pay more money for the DLC? We should have been able to play as four or five of the different races from launch. And it's not like it matters anyway. There's ZERO exploration of cultural differences, habits, religions, technologies, you name it. Zero.
For instance, my avatar is an Irathient female. So you can imagine how lazy Trion seems to me when my character is spoken to or referred to as if she were a human male by main storyline characters, when not being referred to with awkward non-descriptive terms and contortions of grammer. I mean really? Trion couldn't even take an extra HOUR of the writers and voice actors' time to customize dialogue (such as it is) for even the limited options in character creation available? Not even for differentiating males and females? What about that should make me believe that this new Castithan storyline is at all "special", informative, or lengthy?
The writers for both game and show should be working in the same room, or as close as they can get with tele-presence. They should be creating this universe together. As it is, I see no evidence of the carefully crafted dialogue and world-building of the show having been put forth in the game. (I could write more intelligent, witty dialogue and story in my sleep.) Trion needs to realize that when claiming to have made a tie-in game, they can't just ride the show's coat-tails. They (and we the players) need to be active, creative participants in events.
Worse, in a case like this, where Trion has moved from simply repeatedly offering poorly rehashed content ingame that most didn't like very much to begin with, to offering poorly rehashed 'announcements' that most didn't like very much to begin with that hold nothing new whatsoever, they show that the conceptual problems and the attitudes of casual indifference or even disdain toward their paying customers, are systemic.
Trion may label this post as 'Trolling', but make no mistake; This is my honest evaluation of where things stand. Just because as a paying customer I feel no need to sugar-coat their medicine doesn't mean they shouldn't have to take it. Criticism should not be ignored or otherwise quashed. It should be addressed. Reasons need to be given. I can't fathom why, but they seem to have thought that they were not at all beholden to us, only to learn that they are entirely at our mercy. If you don't offer your customers what they want, they'll simply walk away. If you're lucky. A boot to the head if you're not. Shocking, I know...
How long has the game been out? Lag is worse than it was opening day (yes i was there for the year patch download times).... You'll defend this **** company that only "fixes" minor problems yet causes more and more major ones (like lagout limbo at any event)... You sir are a fool, if "try'n" ever releases the dlc the massive amount of bugs caused by it will cut the player base in half sure to the lack of support our even communication. I haven't played in 2 weeks now because it is just the same **** over and over and over, however since I already purchased the dlc I'm screwed and might as well let try'n how bad they suck. If the dlc launches before aug12 without bugs then that might change my opinion of trion but every patch thus far has re-affirmed the tag "try'n" and seems as though don't have either the drive or knowledge to alter that perception..
The content being offered in a DLC that is months delay is really disappointing and I don't see how it will bring back people
So just checked out this bored for a release date on this DLC, didn't have time to read through 26 pages of post.
So has a release date been given?
I heard it was this month but I have my doubts.
Info anyone?
I used to be an eager Ark Hunter like you, then i took a "soon" to the ear.
