    So Nolans purple AR

    Is pretty awesome but right now I wish I was rich...
    It's wep mastery just became 10% crit mult from the hip and all I have on it is a scope.

    Being purple, it costs a ton to upgrade each consecutive mod =(

    So gunslinger is 12% crit mult from the hip, hunters stance is 9%, ambush is 9% to unaware enemies.

    EDIT: Just forgot about the 15% crit dmg to enemies running towards you, so that might be better to replace the 'unaware enemies' one as I don't know how to get them both to pop.



    So thats 40% crit damage to unaware enemies, hipfiring, whilst crouched o.O. Not sure what the blue barrel gives in crit, as I've never seen a purple mod before. I'm really tempted to try and get some stuff to increase it's crit further lol. I have cloak so I would be able to just cloak, crouch and test out the damage =) Almost be like super close snapshot sniping lol. So anyone have any idea what the max % crit dmg i'd be able to get out of it with any other perks I left out and mods? I'm curious even though I know most of the perks are kinda worthless after 1 shot but still.

    Also I just did an arkfall, got 2nd, and ended up with a purple northstar flare with 3 mod slots open with assassin synergy, the 0.90 reload innate bonus, and 15% nade recharge on kill. Is this thing any good? Only a mag of 1 which I know I can increase, no nano on it but i need something to level up pistols. I have a wolfhound but didnt come with the 1.15x crit bonus or a synergy(it's blue but still would like more crit off the getgo =(

    Use your wolfhound and go crazy on the scrapper forge eyes. Add a maximum force barrel and you should have a crit of about 4.8/9.

    isnt max force barrel the one that adds aim/hipfire dmg? Shouldn't I add the +crit barrel?

    off topic, I have a crap wolfhound with terrible rolls. I gave it a Crit Barrel and you will not be able to pry it from my cold dead fingers.

    On topic kind of, Nolan's AR was one of the single best beginner weapons I got my hands on. It had a 15% grenade refresh on kill and was spectacular but I'm finally starting to prefer my assassin Mazu. I couldn't believe the first time I got Nolan's AR I salvaged it on the spot, so foolish, after the first rewind I got it again and was able to lament my mistake. So bloody foolish.

    *Edit I might have a little backwards but it is 3am here XD

    which mazu? the 40 dmg real high rof, or the like 172 dmg high rof one? I just got one with the syphon nano, but no synergy. I have like 2 weps with synergies as nothing ever drops and vendors are all crap

    The Mazu is the 180 dmg high rof, wait might be 172 I've already maxed my rifle weapon skill. It has syphon and two rolls, both are crit. Was testing it with a Blast rifle, the 40 ridiculously high rof, but the two crit rolls sealed it for the Mazu.

    For the Synergy mods you have to use the lock box, and don't worry too much if you get one you can't use advertise on the Need Want section that you're looking to trade. You can probably find what you need there. By the by what ego level are you? I find that later in the game everything non-white has a synergy (Though sometimes it's the two weapon not the four mod and those are just wasteful.)

    ego is 1362, i do see some synergy every now and then, rare to see at least for me at this time. Always ones I feel are pointless too.
    I actually just got my first legendary, a sawed-off with assassin. Double buckshot vs slugs. 1.4 reload as it comes with .70x reload modifier along with 1.03x fire-rate(pointless on sawed offs if you ask me.) I have a shotty blue mod for like .80 or .85 reload I can slap on it to make it reload fairly quick, but it costs like 50k to just install it....
    I need to start using sawed offs, but the dps is freaking horrible for me to stand using them. I'm in a cloak spec, maybe using a decoy or overcharge and grabbing the faster reload whilst standing still would help ease the pain but ugh =(

    To the first post, my version of Nolan's weapon has all 4 slots unlocked, so it's just a matter of finding the mods you want to use on it. I added a 'splat' mag, just because.

    Orange FRC Sawed-Off, outlaw with syphon. Knew I was going to hate leveling Sawed-off to 10.
    That thing is a monstah when the syphon procs. Get up close to warriors, stick it close to their mouth and they implode, frequently taking a few nearby bugs along with them. It's almost as much fun as my syphon flare gun.

    I threw a speed load mag, and a +8 fall-off barrel on it. Damn them for not making a crit-trigger barrel for it. I have the same sawed-off in flame, and it's a total yawn compared to the syphon.

    And with the Outlaw syn, (+5% damage from last shot in 'clip'), since every shot is 'the last shot in the clip'....

    The bonus from capping the individual weapon XP is notorious for changing on quest reward weapons.
    My Nolan rifle changed everytime I logged in / did a co-op map / etc...

    Check whether yours does as well first before modding it a specific way based on the weapon XP bonus.

    Just checked it indeed changed. Twice. Was the 10% hipfire crit, then went to like -.30 recoil, now it's at like 1.15 mag or something (up to 50 rounds now) and it will probably change in a few minutes.

    I have a syphon mazu blast rifle. Procs are nice. Have a syphon pump shotty, with no mods. The cost to install mod slots is just stupid. In all honesty I'm pretty content using naked weapons. I still use my 50 ego frontier saw i pretty much started the game with. All blue mods for recoil stock, -.30 acc scope, and I think a faster reload mag. No barrel yet. I have +8 falloff barrel I can put on it but the falloff range on saws is pretty good to begin with and I don't see 8 more meters helping too much. Still waiting for a tach pulsar smg to put the +8 on as I'm very good at headshots on the move with that beast.

    Currently trying to figure out what to put on my new radioactive saw as when that procs it goes from 400 dmg to 500. I'd love to get that x1.03 rof saw from the pvp vendor, but I dont pvp nor do i want to. If you got tokens per pvp match instead of needing to do contracts that I hear are too hard to accomplish(killing x people WHILE they try and cap a point, etc) otherwise I'll stick with saws with the innate -.10 recoil.

    Side note, I do have a purple northstar with assassin, believe all mod slots open. Mag of 1. It magically crits on shots to an arm on a humanoid, no crit on the head..lol Should I try and find a +8 mag mod for it? Never seen one at all yet or is finding a +4 or something good enough?

    Also, does the northstar count as an explosive?
