Defiance PC Pre-Loading - Official

I have touched on this subject a few times but wanted to let everyone know that we will be unlocking the PC version of the game to allow you to pre-load before launch. We are aiming to start sending PC tokens (Trion Direct purchase) out Friday evening through Monday evening.

The codes that will be sent out from us (Trion) are codes for users who pre-ordered via Trionworlds.com. Your specific retailers is the keeper of your digital keys. We are updating them to allow the release so you can download the game ahead of time.

I was able to download the launcher and the patcher today as some others were able to also. Would it be better to erase and wait for the official preload or just keep it and update.

So those of us that were able to download the client off the site and then patch it, should we just keep that, or uninstall it and start fresh when you roll out the official preload starting tomorrow?

Trion customer support is informing players that there will be no preload period, that client downloads will not be allowed until "April 2nd at 8 A.M. (local time)" when the game goes live (according to them). It might help with the confusion to get everyone on the same page.

Agreed, they told a lot of us the same generic message. Can we get this cleared up, plox? Also thank you SO MUCH for the update on this!

I have the client downloaded but keep getting an error saying:
"Login successful but this account is not entitled to play DEFIANCE. Contact Trion Worlds support."

That just means that your token for preloading hasn't gone out yet. You should still be able to predownload by sometime on Monday. Just try it on Monday and see then.
