that error is normal. it come up before beta went live aswell and stil ldoes in the beta client.

Because all the pre-load tokens have not gone out yet. Unlucky people might not be able to pre-load until just before release time.

I have touched on this subject a few times but wanted to let everyone know that we will be unlocking the PC version of the game to allow you to pre-load before launch. We are aiming to start sending PC tokens (Trion Direct purchase) out Friday evening through Monday evening.

Great except where is the download link.. and why have i still not recieved my code when i preordered in February ...

If you pre-order on retail store. You have to wait until you get the box. If you get it digital. You put in the key to your trion account. Then look for Defiance PC. There is a download client button.

Any way. I finish downloading mine. =D 10.4GB as of now. Client build v1.449730 NA

i did say what to check if you get the "not entitled to play" error - i had same until i noticed that udner security it said email was not verified. it worked fine after that.

Downloaded the client again from trion account management, was finally able to log in and start patching.

I've been having nothing but problems with the patcher this time around. Got to about 9.x GB the first time and it stopped with a patcher error. Restarted the patcher and (according to the timer/progress bar) it appeared to be downloading the entire thing from scratch again into this single "bundle_0-49.0" file (despite all the previously downloaded data being present in the Defiance directory).

Uninstalled, reinstalled, got to about 7.x GB this time and the exact same problem happened again.

A friend of mine successfully downloaded her entire client without issue in under an hour. Each attempt takes me about 24 hours (I have slower internet speeds).

Might just have to cancel my digital pre-order and pick a physical copy up at a local store, because the latest build doesn't seem to be stable enough for longer durations. I didn't run into this problem with the beta, etc.. was able to pause and restart without issue.. but maybe I just got lucky. :/

Cancel your preorder because you can't download the game before the preload even goes live? where is the logic in that? how about waiting until this evening when they actually open the game for preloads?

Yeah, it seems like it's Rift launch all over again. Even then, a lot of people who pre-purchased (not pre-ordered!!) the game months in advance couldn't log in at launch because something in Trion's account system got f'ed up. It took days for support to respond and a lot of us missed most of head start because of it.
