Cancel your preorder because you can't download the game before the preload even goes live? where is the logic in that? how about waiting until this evening when they actually open the game for preloads?

My account went from not being flagged to begin preloading to flagged. What else are you waiting for? They're not going to play trumpets for you and call your name out to everyone as an introduction, if that's what you're thinking. :P

And I said "cancel my digital pre-order and pick a physical copy up at a local store", because the patcher seems to be crapping out after extended use (15+ hours) and installing from a disc would be easier. I think it's understandable that I don't want to tie up my computer/internet for so long only for the update process to keep failing towards the end. It's wasn't an "I quit!" post. Are you anti-disc or something?

Well i did as i was told and contacted Support:

Me : i did some research on your forums and i found out that ppl can preload Defiance
Me : i get this message: "Login successful but this account is not entitled to play DEFIANCE. Please content Trion Worlds Support"
Support : What do you mean preload?
Me : download full game client before the launch and wait for the official launch date with game client installed

If you pre-order on retail store. You have to wait until you get the box. If you get it digital. You put in the key to your trion account. Then look for Defiance PC. There is a download client button.

Any way. I finish downloading mine. =D 10.4GB as of now. Client build v1.449730 NA

Preordered from trion directly. Just found link in ridiculas non intuitive website design ...reminds me of the PC UI in the game ...

Pre-ordered via Amazon (Trion has "pre-order code" applied from amazon listed in my account)...

Got the usual message "Login successful. But you're not authorized to play this game contact support etc... etc..."

Guess I'll have to wait for after I've OD'ed chocolate eggs over the weekend to start the pre-install ^_~

Verifying my email address in the security tab of the Trion account management solved the entitlement problem for me. Might be worth a try.
