    As Lady asked, are you getting a not authorized message or the lovely "patch error, please try again later" message? If it's the later, here's what I did which finally "fixed" it for me:

    1. Delete your old Defiance install. Keep the actual client installer that you downloaded from Trion though.
    2. Go to your start menu, in your search box type "config". Find your system configure.
    3. Click on the services tab and hide all Microsoft services then disable everything else.
    4. Click on the Start-up tab, disable all.
    5. Apply.
    6. Restart your PC from a cold boot.
    7. After bootup, disable all anti-virus and any firewalls. Including Windows firewall.
    8. Run Defiance.exe as administrator and let it instal to its default location
    9. Go to its default location, right click on patcher.exe. Go to properties.
    10. Click the compatibility tab and check the box that says run as admin.
    11. apply and close out.
    12. Go to your desktop and run Defiance.

    every time a file fails to download it starts from the beginning that sucks and the speed mine was downloading @ 0.02MB/s and my line is 4Mb/s and since i have limited download capability (have to pay per Gig) i can't afford downloading multiple times its gana cost me more than the game it self. the games patcher is totally NOT designed for low-speed/limited internet

    Nope, just the digital folks. If you spent $150 for the UE, you're a second rate citizen, as the folks that spent $60 are more valuable customers.

    Gotta say this kinda pisses me off to no end.

    I spend ~170 USD with Shipping to buy their Beef Supreme edition and instead of being treated like a high roller, as I should be, I am regulated to twiddling thumbs and waiting for disks...

    I am trying to remember the last time I bought a game like this, with the Collector's Edition, and they didn't allow me to download before launch/head start...

    I think WoW was the last time, vanilla WoW, since you HAD to use the CDs...

    Hey, it's not exactly the topic of this discussion but it's highly correlated.
    I keep getting the "not entitled" message, but I think it's ok for now.
    I just want to be sure: is it ok to have in the transaction history just the PREORDER_PC code?




    Do I just have to wait? Am I all set to go?

    I'm having the exact same issue as the poster above me, just wanted to let you know I contacted support and they simply told me to wait. Trion will bring out a fix before tuesday.

    I had pre-load access for several days, but after a lot of slow downloading and launcher crashing 60-90% of the way through, I suddenly now no longer have pre-load access and no client to show for the time spent attempting to get it. I hope they plan on activating me again before launch. What a mess.

    I contacted support (because that's what the launcher instructs you to do), but they said they have no control over flagging pre-load access. Now I'm worried that my name is sitting on the wrong list. (e.g. "received access" instead of "needs access").

    They suggested I monitor this thread, which is like 99% frustrated/confused player comments. Maybe they figured misery loves company.

    Its A soloution I guess, but **** leaving an unprotected naked internet connection open for god knows how many hours it'l take trion to squeeze thru 25 odd gigs. I suppose disabling 3rd Party services will reduce risk of infection, but man... that sounds a dangerous way of getting the client early. Might as well just get it from fileplanet if u wanna take risks.
    I dont see why Trion put the client on there page so early if access is denied (to some of us for some obscure reason) until launch.

    Have you tired signing up for the newsletter under Trion account management as in this thread? It worked perfectly for me.
