So i have applied the pre order code, and the game code via steam, i have properly downloaded the game and updated it. But when i look at the client size....it says like 14kb or something, where is the file hiding i have looked everywhere and the updates seemed to be pretty short, but i log in just fine and i updated, and the update did take a little while just not very long.
so far the best i can get from live support is "theyre doing the downloads in waves, please wait for your your token to preload defiance"
im not worried as of yet but i will be by monday after i get out of work because that will give me very limited time to download it.

So what's the latest version? Mine says 1.449730 and all the files say 10.4GB...Some people are saying they have 12GB and so on...so idk what's going on.
when they give out these tokens your supposed to get a email stating so correct? so what i just updated wasnt the full game then? i have version.1.449730 and that from the general consensus was the most up to date version?
thats the version i have and my file says 19megs.....ugh confused lol
also everyone is saying its coming out 9pm PST monday but the client itself when opened up says April 2nd 8am......even if that was EST that wouldnt make any sense.
Did you hit update on the actual launcher?
I'm a little concerned that this is being done in waves. Are they implying their systems can't handle the number of digital downloaders out there? What happens when a 1GB+ patch or DLC is released and then the majority of their customer base is trying to hit the servers (while people are trying to play the game!) in the span of hours rather than days?
I don't think any emails are being sent out to notify players they've received access. If someone has actually gotten a notice, please feel free to correct me on that.
ya i did, now when i click update it doesnt do anything except go right the the play option. so its saying its ready to go. Also whats the file name for this game i cant find it anywhere without going to C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Defiance
The password redo trick worked for me and I have patched the client.
However, in the same house my brother cannot patch his client. He belongs to the ignored group of paying customers. He contacted Trion and they gave him the "release in waves" line. N
Now we're wondering if at 9pm PST Monday he's gonna be watching me play instead of joining me.
