"Login successful but this account is not entitled to play DEFIANCE. Please contact Trion Worlds support." Thats all im getting still cant preload...i preorder from steam.
Getting the same "not entitled" message. Contacted support a couple hours ago, explained the issue and that I'd tried the password reset and newsletter fix several times and no luck. They just got back to me, told me to try resetting my password.....
Game goes live in just over 21 hours, some people still can't download the game, cs seems confused about when the game launches, and no official communication on the forums in 2.5 days. A bit troubling.
I am also still having the not entitled problem. I was told over and over again just to wait. Now it just looks like after all my waiting I'm just going to get screwed over in the last day
I am having the same issue and the customer support told me to watch this thread. Which is great news except this leaves me with no idea if Trion have forgotten to send out the 20 digit code, my order hasn't gone through or I will get it in the next 20 hours or so.
I would have thought going through Trion would have been the most likely way to ensure everything would work as intended but it seems to physical copies have made it out and the digital is less clear.
So the game download it around 21Gb? No wonder it's saying it's got another 12 hours to download after the first initial 12 hour download -_- YAY 240kbps!
Customer support now told me to reset my password... A thing I have tried many times without result. So 15h away from launch and still getting the not entitled error...

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having trouble with the entitlement issue. Our development team is aware of and working to address this issue, and we hope to have a fix in place before the launch!
Sledgehammer mentioned that only the customer support team can fix this problem. Customer support is saying only the development team is aware of the problem, and to monitor this thread as if a miracle answer is going to appear here. So, apparently both sides are convinced the problem is out of their hands.
I think we are screwed.
These are the kind of stories you think back on in the future whenever someone asks "how smoothly did MMO-X's launch go?".
I think there is some confusion between the terms "resetting password" and "changing password." Resetting has Trion send you a new random password that you try and use. This is not, afaik, the workaround to fixing the "not entitled" bug. Changing your password via the Trion account site (https://rift.trionworlds.com/account...d!input.action) does seem to work, or at least it did for me.
