There are basically three different problems being expressed in this thread:
1) Digital pre-orders who are already flagged for pre-load access but don't realize it because something has failed on Trion's end. These are the people that can use a password change or newsletter subscribing (basically any adjustment to their account) to kick things into motion.
2) Physical pre-orders who are expecting to be flagged for pre-load access, but aren't going to be because this time (and unlike Rift) Trion has decided to only allow digital pre-orders to pre-load.
3) Digital pre-orders who are not flagged for pre-load access by this point because something has failed on Trion's end, and no amount of fiddling with your account settings on the player side of things is going to fix it.
The latter is the group that has the most sever/legitimate problem on their hands. And support is looking towards the developers to do something about it, and the developers are looking towards support to do something about it. Everyone is being told to wait in line when there is no line - people are pre-ordering right now and getting pre-load access immediately, within seconds! So, how can there be a line?
I have a very strong feeling that this latter group (which I'm a part of) is going to find that they don't even have access to log into the game come tonight when the servers go live. And customer support is going to be closed by then.
