That's a nice idea, but I do believe that most people genuinely don't need free stuff to make them happy. Most people just wanted Trion/NamcoBamdai/Amazon to explain why this delay was discovered so late and some advice on whether linking a standard edition would stop their Ultimate Edition bonuses from working. Nobody has answered yet so people got worried.

Apparently German suppliers were told on the 23rd of March that there would be a delay. If people had been given a bit more notice they could have looked at alternatives. Because of the radio silence many folks have even missed the opportunity to get a standard edition copy in time for Tuesday.

Although we have been speaking at odds, I hope you understand (at least a little bit) as to why there is some disappointment here. If people receive their UE's by the 12th or later they may miss story content within the game that will be removed once the show begins on the 15th.

it's likely that trion was hoping to have the issue fixed before they hit the point of no return on getting the UE's out. if they were able to fix the issue, then everyone would have been happy.

if the issue was announced on the 23rd we would have had these threads back then - probably more of them - with people moving possibly prematurely and cancelling their pre-orders

hindsight is 20/20 and NOW that people know it's delayed they wish they knew back then, but back then it's likely the defiance staff was hoping to have the issue fixed.

steam has rounded tier 2 and closing in on tier 3 rewards. that would make them pretty much on par, perhaps better than, the ue edition.
