Please don't open any game that you would like to return. The information that customer was given is incorrect. I realise it's not good news but if you open the game it will be rejected by our returns centre

Not true, I have it in writing from Amazon's customer service team that I can do just that. I am therefore doing something as advised BY Amazon.

My advice all along has been get it in writing from Amazon and then they have no come back later on, they told you to do it.

Just asked if getting a standard copy and a (later) UE copy if the UE bonuses are separate from the game code. It sounds like they are tied together. So if you buy a standard edition for day one access while waiting for the UE edition to arrive, you cannot "gift" the base copy game from the UE to someone else. If you do, they will get your UE items/titles. O.o

Then you have no understanding of your own rights a a consumer. They will not be doing anything other then refunding my money. They said it and I have done it, the law sides with me.

Ever noticed E&OE on websites and such like?

Errors and omissions excepted. Covers them no problem. And for things like jewellery, underwear and DVDs or game they are covered .

Also the cd key you will use to play on launch day...where does that come from? The standard edition? makes that disc then worthless, so they wont take it back. And sending back the unopened disc from the UE box will mean giving away your ingame items.


Good luck maybe they will but don't get cocky cause sure as hell ,one thing the net has taught me is to never trust the word of a CSR.

Well I am not so sure, been talking to Trion CS and they said all bonuses come on separate codes. The link codes and dlc codes/extras are differnt things and serve different purpose as one of the Trion CS representatives said. Right now the only issue I think is that if u redeem code from SE your account will be bound to it therefore on your account will say Standard Edition and I think thats all.

None of that is relevant. I am acting under the instruction of the retailer, I'm not trusting something I cannot prove. Exact quote from official Amazon email reads : "If you would like to order the standard edition so that you can play from release date, you can certainly return it for a refund once the ultimate edition arrives."

It does not matter to me nor does it matter to Amazon as they will be clawing all this back from the supplier who failed to deliver stock to them as agreed.

Starting to see word of possible problems with our fellow gamers across the pond aswell.I am glad i don't have to worry about maybe getting ripped off by Amazon and that by switching to Game straight away i should have the game in-time for launch.That said,watching Sledge and Dahanesse do the unboxing made me sad .
