i have been civil. it's not my fault nor my problem that you perceive any disagreement as being uncivilized. until that post you quoted i at no time voiced an opinion on the content of the issue or how it should be handled, only that after seeing a 5th thread on the same topic pop up after the first was closed has meant it's turning into a troll fest, and the OP's of these threads feel they are so self-important they can't all add to a single thread.
If you played Rifts, then you should already be familiar with Trion's support system. If you open a ticket, it takes anywhere form an hour to 24 hours to get a response. I have had no problems getting solutions, but some are long winded and require a good bit of effort from me. The forums though are really not a place to figure things out.
Trion ran a really nasty smear campaign against other MMO's with Rift's release, and because of that I think they did a lot to moderate their forums. Lots of posts mysteriously vanished, etc. Either way, you really can't play this game for the support. It's going to be a fun game, and I'm certain you'll get to play it within at least 30 days of its release, but ultimately this isn't a triple A company with awesome support. They like money, and produce a decent game. If you set yourself up for that, you'll be better off in the long run.

That's a nice idea, but I do believe that most people genuinely don't need free stuff to make them happy. Most people just wanted Trion/NamcoBamdai/Amazon to explain why this delay was discovered so late and some advice on whether linking a standard edition would stop their Ultimate Edition bonuses from working. Nobody has answered yet so people got worried.
Apparently German suppliers were told on the 23rd of March that there would be a delay. If people had been given a bit more notice they could have looked at alternatives. Because of the radio silence many folks have even missed the opportunity to get a standard edition copy in time for Tuesday.
Although we have been speaking at odds, I hope you understand (at least a little bit) as to why there is some disappointment here. If people receive their UE's by the 12th or later they may miss story content within the game that will be removed once the show begins on the 15th.
