Really though is it hurting anyone that badly whether they call a character a toon, an alt, a character, an avatar, a digime (My buddy uses this term) or anything else? Is is going to kill you when you really know what they are talking about?

I personally use the term main/alt. "I'm gonna hop on my main and kill some hellbugs" or "Hold on, let me jump on my alt brb" blah blah blah relevant argument, blah blah comment making me look like an ***, blah blah blah self reflective statement, blah blah informative link, blah blah ragequit.

Feel free to fill in the words and finish my side of the conversation for me.

just out of curiosity you all know the difference between a graphic novel and comic? If so why not anime and cartoon? or ****** and anime. there are differences and reasons behind those differences.

People who have played MMO's for a long time use a type of slang that they expect others to know, like myself. "Toons" is not derogatory or talking down on our characters, its just a shorter term and less keystrokes. This is helpful when you are in chat window and get a little tired of typing character all the time. It's called evolution people, you're in the MMO world now, please adapt!
