wait till you get to the 4k too 5k ego grind... now that is pain.

Mid-E4.3 K with no PVP done and most challenges/rampages and races to be attempted. Only dets and rockets for the most part needng serious leveling. No clue how far (if at all) shooting badguys at Arkfalls, Emergency's and Daily Pursuits will take me, but I'm planning to find out.

They stated the 5 DLC's would come out after the first season of Defy was over - it's over. So pretty much anytime between your next b!tchrant and season 2 will tech. be within their attempted timeline. The only dupe here is you. If you're so inept as to not understand how & why then feel free to PM me cuz' I really feel like dropping F-bomb-laced logic in yo' face.

What’s our DLC plan? – I’ve seen a lot of you mention this and this is material for an entire blog post because there is so much I want to talk about. However, let’s be short. There are at least 5 DLCs this year. They all have a free and paid component. We do not want to segregate our playerbase so we always want everybody be able to participate and play with friends. The free part is features and content, the paid part is essentially, say, access to a new playable species with a bundle of stuff with it. The upcoming TV tie-ins aren’t DLCs that cost either. It’s all yours.

In the last update I mentioned that there is a DLC on the way after our two upcoming fix and improvement patches. I also noticed that in the following discussion, there was debate about what resources did what and when. This is a pretty common misconception and understandably so. Game development is very complicated on this scale.


I also told you the other day that I was working on my omnipotence so what we also did to keep better focus on Live issues is that we moved the kick-off that was supposed to be tomorrow Monday for the next DLC, back a week. It only involved a relatively small part of the team, mainly artists and designers but I figured I’d give you some insight into how we actively prioritize and pivot here. And if you suddenly see Space Unicorns in PVP matches as a result of me and the artists trying fix server crashes, don’t blame me. Just enjoy the moment of Space Unicorn-ess.

So do you see? The first DLC was actually originally slated to drop in April. All 5 DLC's were to have been this year, 2013. When you read that and you see how things have changed/evolved with statements over the last 4 months it gives you a completely different perspective.

So who should feel like a dupe?

I'm not playing the copy/paste war some of you seem enamored with. I've come across plenty... PLENTY of shaded replies from across the badlands and what not where they(the devs) specifically stated the DLC was always intended to drop after the 1st season was done as a way to bridge it up till 2nd season started. Depending on how the SW queue is when I get home I'll maybe... MAYBE!!!!!!!! go hunting for those lil' tidbits and present them here.

Other than that, chillax. It's a game at the end of the day. If some of you want to act like you were promised front row seating to the Digital Messiah's return and are now stuck outside trying to get past the bouncer.... well then, sucks to be you. I'm able to pull back and let things simmer till August. Pity da' foo' that allows inconsequential stuffz to ruin their day. And yes... Dropping sum scratch on digital entertainment that isn't entertaining you as much or as fast as your @ss wants it to is a problem you create for yourself.

Um, the former executive producer said all this the week or so -Before- the first ATB ever aired (remember the show started after the game released :P).

So going after what ATB show would state doesnt help your position, it weakens it.

Obviously he is the FORMER ( actually ex) exec for a reason. As in he LOVED lieing to everyone to get attention and look like the good guy while making his workmates seam like the enemy. Very bad form on his part.

Im not disagreeing with the horrible manner by which Richardsson did things. However, he wouldnt have stated those things had the team and the bosses above Richardsson had not been aligned with those statements.

The point is that Trion made those statements and then proceeded for the last 4 months to kite/change them: more than once. Tyger's attempts to make it seem like that wasnt the case was what was what was called into contention along with the calling that other guy a dupe in the process.

As for the former/ex, linguistically they convey the same meaning of not being current. They do not denote firing vs leaving. Im pretty sure he got his layoff notice like the rest of the team did with their 60 day notice back in May or so. I thought it might come about given that he acted just like Chris Cao from DCUO or Bill Roper when he was doing Champions Online.

That doesnt make any sense. He was given notice a month -after- his statements in the blog, not the other way around. Only exception to that would be the E3 July deadline.

So he was consistent in the kiting in that regard.

As far as you know. Chances are as an Exec he was given notice before the little people. Or he was smart enough to see the writing on the wall. Either way he did a GREAT job at making himself look good and Trion look bad. Yes, but I seriously doubt he was given his marching papers notice on day 5 and 6 of game launch, when everyone else got their notices over a month later. Dont think it was that soon when he made those statements. lol.
