How would that work? Isn't the store only updated on Tuesdays?

AFAIK, that's how it works for PSN digital downloads. I saw that the PS store had a "pre-order" of the game available. I've never done one of those PSN pre-orders so I don't know how that works.

If you're already planning on buying if off the PS store, you might try buying it now and letting us know.

I preordered and it said to check back sometime on the afternoon of april 2 to download the game after weekly store refresh

Most day 1 digital games go live at midnight PST

at that random time of day when the psn store team wakes up from their nap and says "heyy guys we gotta update the store with stuff"
"... nuuuu 5 moar minutes"
"can we use teh bathroom first?"

and so on...

this was too good not to use again
